Brodie would be interesting for the Flyers, maybe the #11 pick would be enticing for them. |

Are you describing Monahan or Jankowski here?
Monahan is two inches shorter and 4 lbs lighter (depending on what website you look at). - Ol_Boy_Wop
Neither one of them are what you'd call super intense guys. |

I just expect more out of Monahan considering he's supposed to be the #1 center on the team. Jankowski is in his 2nd year as a pro and was never going to be a game changer so I guess my expectations are low. |

If Fletcher called offering the 11th pick, Treliving wouldn't let him hang up the phone until the deal became official.

JFC... who cares? Worked well for Carolina and also for the Flames... Next topic...
Its not 'should" Brodie be traded but when and to whom. Honestly who would be untouchable on this team right now? - geta02it
No one is untouchable
For the right deal I would trade anyone |
|
|
|
Stone is definitely tradable. He's still an NHL calibre defenceman, he's not making a ton of money, and he's only got a year left on his deal. He won't bring back much more than an AHL scrub, but if they want to move him, they can.
Trading Jankowski would be idiotic unless they're somehow bringing back an actual number one centre. - Hunkulese
Agree with the top
Janko is expendable if the return is right ...I wonder if you packaged him and kylington and a pick what you could get
|

|

Because unless they're bringing back a number one centre, it's idiotic. He checks off all the boxes of what the Flames need. He just needs to put it all together on a more consistent basis.
He's already playing above his contract and will still be an RFA after next year. He leaves a hole in the lineup if they trade him that they won't be able to easily replace without spending more money. They're a team with very few holes right now, why create one?
If Toronto would do Jankowski for Kadri straight up, sure. But that's never going to happen. - Hunkulese
I like Janko and he’s progressing decently as a player, but I wouldn’t be hurt if he was moved

Do you even watch hockey?
1 - let's trade Monahan just to dump Neal's contract...
2 - Bennett has an 80% chance of being a #1 centre...
3 - Jankowski checks which boxes exactly? A competent 3/4 centre?
4 - Janko for Kadri - where is the #1 centre exactly in that deal?
Jesus Christ Hunk - sometimes you are semi rational and then you post crap like this that no one in their right mind believe... |

If Tre wanted to just get cap space, that is certainly something worth looking at. |

That'd be something to look at if he had plenty of cap space. |

I think not having cap space is kinda the idea behind the trade in the first place lol |

I’d like to see some radical changes to the fwd lines next year ...they have all season to figure out chemistry as no one will care how high they finish after this year ...break up monahan and Johnny too
Tkachuk Monahan Bennett
Johnny backs Zucker
Czarnik Lindholm mangiapane
Hathaway Ryan Janko
If Neal actually puts in the work this summer than slot him in the bottom 6
Dube will probably slot in somewhere at some point too |

What did you do with Ryan ? I thought he was as good as you could hope for in a 4th line centre. |

Ryan aint going anywhere, Peters loves that guy & I quite liked his game & became a fan this year too. Janko is going to be or already is 25(to lazy to look it up), he has some real intriguing tools but hasnt asserted himself yet. I see him being totally expendable. Also Lindholm would be the centre between Gaudreau & Zucker(if we were to acquire him).
I honestly dont know what to do with Neal. I heard on Canuck Nation they were talking about eating Neals contract if we threw in Dube to wash it down. Seems they really like the Kelowna kid. Wiesbrod has always had a hard on for Janko too. Flames & Canucks arent afraid to dealing with each other in the past it seems. |

I think they will give Neal a chance to get himself into proper shape
Older guy who has had long playoff runs and little recovery time last two years ...
I give him next season to prove himself and if he still sucks then he will be gone |

BT will make a few tweaks I'm sure, but next years team is going to be better even if BT doesn't make a single move.
Johnny Money Lindholm
Tkachuk Backlund Bennett
Dube Janko Czarnik
Mangiapane Ryan Neal/Hathaway
Dark Horse: Phillips
Gio Rass
Hanifin Hamonic
Kylington Valimaki
Out: Frolik, Brodie, Smith
???
Rittich

TJ Brodie cannot play without Gio. He is not getting a high 2nd let alone a 1st. If majority of Flames fans want him gone why would anyone give up a premium for him? Do you pay a prime for your neighbors trash? |
