It's not about how good of a player Kadri is. Flyers fans typically suggest bad trades. This is one of those.

Do you have an explanation?

Kadri is a premium middle 6 type of center in this league. He’s still 28 with 3 years left at a great price. He’s a capable goal scorer as well as a shutdown center. Hard to see how this can be qualified as a “bad” trade if your looking at the need from the flyers perspective. So is the value off? Ghost is worth a lot more?

Who says no?!

To Philly: McDavid, Draisaitl
To Edmonton: Giroux, Voracek, Ghost, Provorov, Morin, ten first round picks, the Kate Smith statue.

Everyone wants to get better but no one wants to deal pieces to do it. People want to fill needs but don't want to give up players or prospects to do it.

I am so confused how your supposed to fill needs or get better if your not willing to move a player, who is close to being a depth guy based on infusion of other talented players.

I dunno if he's close to being a depth guy, he's a season removed from having 65 points. If he bounces back he could be one of the best offensive defensemen in the league. I'm not ready to trade that because of one bad season. Selling low on him in my opinion.

Again, you are only focused on what kind of player Kadri is and are ignoring other variables. I'll refer you back to comments made previously by the GM about being careful that you aren't creating a hole in filling a hole. If you think the Flyers have a surplus of quality defenseman, you would be wrong.

So making trades is the only way to get better? If Gostisbehere bounces back and plays like he did in 17/18, does that make the Flyers better? Not really that confusing.

So you tell me, which Gostisbehere is the player we'll see moving forward? You seem to think he is close to being a depth guy.
