This.

JfC, there's nothing this fanbase loves more than to wallow in its own misery.

POS Mike (frank)face Harrington had this garbage post this morning. The one I responded to. Move the (frank) on already. And regardless, (frank) you, Mike.

I am thrilled we don't have to see his gameday takes for another 5 months.

Coukd switch it from Bills to Sabres and it would still apply.

I did a small study on this. Honestly, the Sabres are above average in drafting NHL talent.

They are well below average in drafting impact players outside of the 1st round.

The player that eats the most nachos during the interview process will be drafted by the Buffalo Sabres

My sources say Letang is an upgrade and would be a welcomed addition to the organization.

You know, the elderly, although slow, and dangerous behind the wheel, can serve a purpose. Don’t you go dying on me now.

Interesting.
Not totally unexpected as they have:
-tended to draft higher than the average I would guess, hence their first rounders tend to be more "blue chippers", harder to screw it up
-until recently, their selection in subsequent rounds has been dismal, as a result of having a below average scouting staff

I met Razor a few years back... came to my work. Got some real Sabres insight... he was a nice guy. Head is the size of a fricken cinder block.

Also took a liking to one of my female friends there; really enjoyed showing her how to take a proper shot.

If you consider JT Compher an impact player, he's the last one we drafted outside the 1st round. Jake McCabe? Not really. Linus Ullmark? Can be. Brayden McNabb? Ok. Paul Byron? Andrej Sekera? Clark MacArthur? Jan Hejda was good. Dennis Wideman was ok. So here we are. Derek Roy and Jason Pominville, 2nd round 2002. Ryan Miller, 5th round 1999. Brian Campbell, 6th round 1997.

I'm setting the marker at 2002. (frank) you, Sabres. (frank) you.

Aside from the injury and age stuff, Letang has ONE season out of 13 of less than 50% offensive zone starts. (last 6 seasons: 53, 56, 54, 54, 54, 51) Assuming we trade Risto, and assuming he stays healthy, are we gonna assume he's suddenly going to be our defensive stalwart?

I don't understand the idea at all. It's so much money, and I don't think he's what we need at all. Find a responsible, moderately priced, defensively oriented player who can compliment Dahlin's game and play a steady role. This idea makes absolutely no sense to me.

Montour should get the good offensive minutes and Dahlin will probably need to take some tougher minutes. I don't need Letang with him in that role

6K also had hip surgery? Maybe that explains why Taylor didn't play him for ROC in the playoffs, but still, WTF?

Hip surgery- sounds easy for a professional goalie to come back from.

Probably need the other hip done too
Maybe in time for 2021

Splendid
