Bracco really put up big numbers in the AHL.
That's practically a guarantee he will be a superstar.
In fact, take out the word "practically." - Atomic Wedgie
Mcdvid draft year NHLe is 62.81
His NHL above average in his DY -1 is 363%

Bracco is not a lock like Mcdavid ..more like 50% |

Lots of little details that should and will be micromanaged but really it was special teams that sunk the Leafs.
I haven't seen the line matchup details but Boston's top 6 is pretty damn good and so coming out a couple goals ahead (at 5v5) of their top 6 is a win for the Leafs. Our top 6 didn't score a tonne at 5 v 5 but either did the B's top 6. It was tight. The bottom 6 was pretty even at 5v5 too.
It was a series defined by inches and the Leafs sucked on the special teams. Boston was 5 for 7 in Toronto on the PP. - The Law
Boston just has a bit of a better team than Leafs.
Added Johansson and Coyle for the playoffs as well.
Bruins third and fourth line were at least as good as Leafs' third and fourth lines - while I was guaranteed by some posters in here that Leafs' FW depth >>> Bruins FW depth. |

Do the Leafs have a 5M to throw at him? - Scabeh
Maybe, after the Marleau to Zona retirement/trade.

As much as I hate Greedlander and his uninspired play, let's not forget the most important thing here:
He was dropped to the 3rd line because Kadri (once again) took a childish, stupid, selfish penalty that got him kicked out of the playoffs.
Second franking year in a row.
I used to like Kadri, but the Leafs need to get rid of him. Keeping him sends a message that the Leafs will tolerate this crap.
He needs to go.

if you want to send out a message of not tolerating crap, should trade both Kadri and Nylander then. |

Yup, well not sure I'd get rid of him, but he needs a public flogging.
That was a big loss in a tight series.

Right.
As coliacovo was saying this morning. You were trailing all game and Babcock never thought to load up a top line of Marner, Matthew's and Tavares. Or double shifting Matthew's line.
I also believe if the PK or PP were a bit better it never gets to game 7. |

any word yet if he was still injured?
I would assume yes just from his ice time
will be strange to see him in another uniform |

Does this mean we can officially transition from "who's to blame" to "how to win it all in 2020" ? |

Bang on.
Kadri is an idiot. Plain and simple.
He didn't learn anything from his first suspension last year.
I have no faith he learned anything this year, he's probably still blaming the Bruins again and seeing his actions as justified. |

I think Johnsson is much better than Kapanen.
At least from what I've seen.
Sure he's older and Kapanen might get better but.... Johnsson looks like a keeper to me. - Scabeh
Johnsson was flying all series, but Boston had no trouble knocking him off the puck. I like him as a player.. Just needs to get stronger..
Kap is all speed and good on the PK. |

Babs said it best, Kadri getting suspended meant that they couldn't move Nylander around to play with other players..
It was a real hit to our depth at forward as the series went on..

He's 24y old.
I don't think he's got a growth spurt left in him.
What you see is what you get - a really good third line FW. |

If we can move Kadri and get a cheaper 3rd line C via trade or UFa, than trading him should be explored. |
