Lindholm for a player that won’t help the Leafs, he would have helped, no offence but not a liability. Yet another blame on Dubas to go with everything else he blames himself for at the presser. |

is that not having one or not using a center?
I think the PK thing odd, some players get tagged as PK'ers but why cant any player be coached to do the things you are supposed to on the PK?
Also..Polak was one of the PK'ers...but the results didnt change when he was out there or not.
pk to me seems to be a lot system related and not so much player |

Soooo, Dubas blames himself for everything during his presser. If he feels that way then maybe he was not ready for the job or never will be. - LeafMan
He fell on the sword for the team.
Its his 1st year. |

I don't feel like him taking a big part of the blame is a sign that he's not ready.
I actually respect that.

It's funny.. Dubas take responsibility for the poor PP/PK, and Babcock didn't say poop about it.. Didn't take any ownership of it..
On a side note, Dubas stuttered quite a bit. - PatC80
Understand Dubas is trying to protect his coaches/players but his answers are really unsatisfying. I expected him to say the obvious at least. Team fell short of expectations. We know our gaps and have a plan. There will be changes.
Just heard Kadri's answers about his suspension. That's the way you address your mistakes and move forward. |

I think it's an issue because Bergeron got to laugh his ass off at how easy winning every faceoff was. |

My thoughts as well. No need for him to call out people in a presser, he can do that behind closed doors with the actual people.
He's trying to redirect the focus to him and not on his people. Good to see.
For now. |

Wonder why Babs never trusted Tavares enough to play on the PK? |

Lindholm isn't the answer to anything except, "Which player born in Kusmark, Sweden has 1 career NHL goal?"
Dubas is deflecting from some of the earlier BS that Babs was slinging. It's good leadership. And since he is the leader, he can shoulder that blame. |

Dubas was hesitant when asked about Babcock, but kinda said everything is under review every year.
So, we'll see.. I just don't see Babs getting fired this off-season.. Maybe if they lose in the 1st rd again next year.. |

Listening to his presser, he stated he doesn’t like to play his centres more that 20 minutes, he said that is too much time. He referenced in the regular season but it carried over into the playoffs. |

The PK was doing fine before he was traded then went poop after. There was no need to trade him for a munchkin at the deadline that is of no use. |

What's funny about that is that he didn't frequently play Datsyuk more than 20 minutes, but in 2007-08, he averaged over 21:00 minutes in the season and the playoffs.
You know. The year they won the cup! |

Kap and johnsson didnt really do much
but blame Nylander - senstroll
you don't seem to have an issue to criticising Kapanen, "didn't do enough"...
Johnsson... "didn't do much"
"but don't blame Nylander for sucking"...
so if we can't criticize Nylander, or make accountable", who do you make accountable for Nylander poop show? just wondering |

I could understand trading him but then getting another veteran centre who kills penalties, instead he got nothing to help the PK. |

Think about it, deep down the middle but he uses neither Tavares, Matthews and Kadri to kill penalties, fourth line centre becomes imperative for the PK. |

everything out of his mouth on Leafs Lunch in response to the Dubas/Babcock presser was just (frank)ing embarrassing...his foolish take on it and feeble attempt to stir the pot in regards to Babcock's job security this summer - jimi james
I'm assuming the Leafs told him to kick dirt, so he wasn't invited to the press conference? |
