Gotta keep him fresh for that 2nd round! |

Leafs clearly have major issues. There is obviously big time problems in the room. Matthews was pretty invisible all series, wouldn’t be surprised if he tells management either he goes or Babcock goes. Marner had a couple good games then was a disappearing act. Nylander contract now looking like a giant overpayment. Kadri is dirty and incapable of playing within the rules. Needs to be some massive changes. - iknowbest
Definitely. Guess the puck just managed to bounce in a few times.
You know who was invisible though? Toews. I thought he was meant to be the playoff god, yet I didn't see him once out there... |

a lot to digest here.
Should they just fold the franchise? Seems like they should.
thanks, i look forward to your thoughtful unbiased rational follow up. - senstroll
as a sens fan, I think you should in fact fold the franchise..........please |

maybe leafs can talk winnipeg into a Laine for Nylander + trade?
at least Laine can score. - MaximusAurelius
if you guys are going to move Nylander to Wpg, it should be in a trade where Trouba is the center piece coming back. that guy is EXACTLY what you need.
a top pair of Trouba/Rielly would be RIDICULOUS. Have Muzzin and Dermott on the 2nd pair, then bring up a couple of your kids.
I imagine that Trouba will make a bit less than Nylander so it address your D and relieves a bit of cap space. |

what i don't like about Nylander is his lack of effort and his lack of hockey sense.
and his feeling of entitlement before having achieved anything.
People have said for 10+ years that Ovechkin was worst defensive player in NHL as well, however he's constantly proven that he's an elite scorer and a guy that wants to win.
Laine for me can be a next Ovechkin.
Nylander is a second line winger. - MaximusAurelius
How the (frank) would you know this?
It's a business; players have agents for a reason. All the nasties are done between management and the player agent; the agent has parameters and thresholds from which they have to work on a deal, and that's it. |

Muzzin-Zaitsev
Dermott- someone that can play defense and not get scared of their own shadow. (basically anyone but Gardiner) |

I really wonder who will sign Gardiner and for how much.
And to be fair to the guy, he was obviously playing injured in that series. |

Trouba just posted a 50 points season while being a defensive monster.
He's awesome.
He askef for 7M+ last time in his arbitration hearing.
They're not getting him under 7M this time.. |
