and still played harder a lot of the time than anyone else on the team.
We can dance around the issues with the Leafs all we want, but that one fact is probably the truth. The Leafs, as a team, are so far unwilling to do what it takes to win in the playoffs.
They either learn, or not. - Aetherial

Dermott and Gardiner were clearly not 100%.
Hard to win with those injuries. |

Something looked off, just didn't think it was so serious. |

Not according to Max.. Drouin is a grit/sandpaper guy.. - PatC80
the comparison was Nylander vs Drouin at centre.
both cannot play that position very well.
still Drouin is better at it than Nylander.
he's just a better player than Nylander.
And I don't like Drouin that much. |

Gardiner both has to go but also has to be replaced. Babcock had no choice but to try to get that third pairing of Gardiner-Dermott some effective minutes.
I don't hate on Gardiner to the level of average Leafs fan, but it's time, that chapter needs to be closed. Still a considerable hole to fill.
Rielly's usage in the playoffs was something to watch. Can we get this guy a proper partner yet. When Hainsey briefly went down it was a matchup nightmare.
That fourth line doesn't hit the ice without Morgan back there just in case. |

There will have to be at least 2 changes made to the defense, but I'm not too worried about it.. With that said, I'll let you know how I feel in mid-September
Rielly - ?
Muzzin - Zaitsev
Dermott - ?

If you would rather have Drouin than Nylander.. By all means, go cheer for the Habs..
Nylander is the better player. |

they're both one dimensional wingers which haven't lived up to promise.
as said, I don't even like Drouin.
funny how they both have attitude issues and not a lot to show for on the ice when it matters. |

Points, Corsi, PDO, Looks.. Nylander is beating Drouin.. So, I guess that means Drouin's the better player.
Max, your hate is strong today..
