Hamilton would be a better fit then Ellis or Subban ( not even taking into account the salaries ) - Garnie
I would like Pesce more than any of the three mentioned in your post.

Sounds a little like Babcock's approach. Wash, rinse, repeat. Don't try to change a thing - Leafsmart
Sigh.
They didn’t lose game 7 because of Lievo.
That’s the point. |

Leivo's issue is similar to Ennis. He's a 4th liner who is an offensive zone player that could use some PP time. He's bigger and more physical, but Ennis has played like a pitbull and seems to understand his role quite well. - AdamFrench
This.
Ennis is a great 4th liner.
Lievo was meh on the 4th line.
Then people cry because Lievo scored a few goals. He (frank)ing better he was playing on the 1st line and getting PP mins on the Nucks. |

One could argue that Kadri's value is higher than Nylander's at this point in time.
If I had to guess, it would be Kadri that gets traded;
1- Lou signed him to the contract, not Dubas.
2- back to back suspensions in the playoffs
3- an actual 2nd/3rd line C, which holds more value. - PatC80
agreed - Kadri's value is higher and should be. I'm worried about Doogie Howser putting his ego analytics hat on ... not wanting to admit the Nylander signing was a mess (it was and is) and therefore moving other players who fit the mold of what's needed for more fast little guys... can't have enough of those.
but none of this will matter - if we SHOULD learn anything from that series - you can't have passengers - Leafs had far too many.
And we all know who they are.
If Nylander "has to play with Matthews" to bring value - then he's a passenger - because he doesn't do anything else.
compare that with Hyman. |

I honestly want Dubas to re-sign Ennis.. I liked his game against Boston.. Not the biggest guy, but he always battled and did a lot of good things for us this year. |

6.25?
That’s great.
Hamilton is at 5.75 for a couple more years then will get 8-9....

Absolutely.
He plays his role and he’s skilled.
He was the only decent think about the 2nd PP unit in the playoffs.
Moore-Goat-Ennis will probably be the 4th line next year. And rightly so. |

The more Gardiner played, the more goals the Leafs let in. When he played 12 mins they allowed 1 goal. Then after the series Babcock says he was playing injured, or that he wasn't mobile. Well what was he playing more minutes for? He had a history of bad playoffs and he's leaving after the season so play him more? Makes no sense. |

Can't wait to play Boston again next year. Good old NHL , the matchup is easy to predict even a year out |

absolutely should consider this.. but definitely just a one year deal - that would give Dubas options... but he has to be proactive about this stuff.
if he poops his pants and does nothing because of Marner's contract... well then he is going screw the organization in the large... |

Not a chance. He looks back to see who's coming meaning he knew full well it wasn't icing. When he sees OV he let's him take the puck. https://www.reddit.com/r/...g_despite_it_being_waved/ |

Definitely Hamilton is the better fit.
Big, two-way guy, smart guy, hometown kid on a good contract.
When his contract runs out, the cap should go up and the Leafs will have their core players already locked up so it'll be easier to re-sign him than people think. |

Me either, but he's still pretty good.
Just shots on net over the last 3 seasons 5v5
1. Brent Burns 681
2. Hamilton 572
3. Josi 508
Hamilton with 500+ mins less then Burns.

What about goals?
Because he has 18 goals in the regular season and is a point per game player in the playoffs so far.
The only defenseman with more goals than Hamilton over the past 3 seasons is Brent Burns. |
