Yuck. No Hamilton.
I’d explore NSH and their D. They probably figured out they can’t win with an elite D and no forwards to pass to.
Bracco will be running the 2nd PP next year by mid season. So Kadri or Willy is expendable for the right price. - Santo_44

Well I get the feeling that Shanny's first order of business is to trade Kadri somewhere. Doesn't matter how tough he plays, teams will set him up for a suspension ever time around. And he'll gladly take the bait. And also.... for the umpteenth time, we should have never traded Josh Leivo. He was exactly what our 4th line needed. And opposing D were aware when he entered the zone. Traded just before Willy came back. And we were never good after.... But what would I know. |

Not much, the 4th line was very good.
Who are you taking out for Lievo? Ennis or Moore? Ennis and Moore over Leivo 10/10. |

Is Machessault talking about the Kadri hit on DeBrusk here? Ripped on the refs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG0XEKcYWrg
The refs got the call wrong, Eakens should have gotten 2 min for cross-checking and Stasny 2 min for interference. So, 4 mins total.
Unfortunately, Pavelski was in a vulnerable position and landed awkwardly and that's what caused the injury.
However, wasn't the refs that let in 3 goals on the ensuing power play.
Suck it up Jonathan, the Leafs had to on a crappy call against Kadri. - floater_willy
I get what you're saying... but Marchessault is 100% correct. Truth is the series turned on a bad call. Same arguement can be made of the non-calls on the Bruins... but for some reason - probably because the Leafs want to be all "noble".. they don't allow the players to vent.
If you have never been in a similar situation you simply can't understand having something like that taken away from you.

Well how about healthy scratching one of two wingers on the third line and moving Ennis or Moore up. So now we should have the best part of two lines looking better. |

Lievo isn’t that good.
He’s not making a difference switching out any winger on the team. He’s a 4th liner. |

Well Martin and Komarov make 5.5 mil... thats (frank)ing stupid to pay for 4th liners
and Bozak makes too much to play behind 3 centers
Polak..well he makes Bishop stop 95% of the shots |

Glad to hear. We'll just keep idling along with our third line then. They were outstanding this series. |

No way, they are the reason their teams are winning.
Just like Bolland won the Hawks a cup.

I don’t know what you are expecting of Lievo but he’s a 4th liner.
He isn’t doing anything more than anyone else. He’s an average 4th liner. |

Leivo's issue is similar to Ennis. He's a 4th liner who is an offensive zone player that could use some PP time. He's bigger and more physical, but Ennis has played like a pitbull and seems to understand his role quite well. |

Caps/Canes game 6 had the second highest ratings of any game in the first round prior to last night.

if trading Nylander at this point in time "would be stupid" because his value is artificially low... then trading Kadri now is MORE stupid.
which is why it will probably happen, because it would be convenient excuse to get Dubas out of the CAP hell he's created with Nylander's contract. |

Holy Mackinaw., even Johnny Toronto couldn't bring home the cup. Don't worry Leaf fans I hear that 53 years is a lucky number. - islansjet
He didn't get an easy penguins matchup unfortunately, oh well, not all teams can get a mediocore path to the second round. |

One could argue that Kadri's value is higher than Nylander's at this point in time.
If I had to guess, it would be Kadri that gets traded;
1- Lou signed him to the contract, not Dubas.
2- back to back suspensions in the playoffs
3- an actual 2nd/3rd line C, which holds more value. |
