My hate for Kadri is strong and it's hard for me to be objective about this.

But fact is, Leafs needed and still need him. Very much so.

He's a complete jackass and an idiot but he brings exactly what you'd want from a 3rd centre playing behind Tavares and Matthews.

If he could somehow not take himself out of the play, he'd be quite the asset. I'm not sure you could swap him easily for someone who would bring exactly that.

Less likelihood of concussion for the guy getting punched, plus you're not going to get suspended. And if you don't have it in you to fight? Go sit down then.

I think Johnsson is much better than Kapanen.

If the plan is to have Nylander is your 3rd line C, then get him some fraking wingers to play with.. Brown and Marleau shouldn't be on a line with Nylander.

He was dropped to the 3rd line because Kadri (once again) took a childish, stupid, selfish penalty that got him kicked out of the playoffs.

I am pretty sure Leafs fans value him much lower than most rational fans

But imo, you have to play Nylander and Matthews together just like Tavares and Marner.. all season. they mesh well.

I dont see that with other linemates for Matthews.
