Weren't the Bruins doing a mini rebuild a few years back? Have they drafted and managed the roster that much better than Philly? Seems they have remained relevant |

Pasta draft has helped, their D prospects also hit well too. And always goal-tending has been stable. Credit to their guys like Bergeron, Chara, and Marchand too. Marchand now an over PPG player. |

ok back to lets trade Ghost for Kadri - wcorvette
What is Toronto adding?
Edit: Thought Kadri was not signed for very long, pretty fair shake of a deal, but still don't want to trade Ghost this offseason |

If FL has interest in Ghost I'd try get Tippett, even if it means adding something else to the deal. - hereticpride
I could get behind that.
To Florida: Gostisbehere, 2019 3rd rounder
To Philadelphia: Trocheck, Owen Tippett
Trocheck comes in and starts as you 2nd line center then can move to wing if Patrick and Frost or whoever progress.
Tippett is shot first type player who might not be far off from NHL ready. |

this is not something Tallon would ever do unfortunately. we would probably have to include a frost/farabee/ratcliffe, or maybe first rounders |

So what about just Gostisbehere for Trocheck. Straight trade. |

Salty VGK fans. They were up 3-1 in the series. They can complain about that penalty all they want, but it should never have reached Game 7. |

Rask is better than Andersen, which one is right outside of the Vezina voting? I'd argue the Leafs are deeper at forward too. Once again you've avoided his Detroit stint too. So, not sure what you are talking about. - ClaudeFather
Babcock went to back to back Cup Finals with the Wings. Splitting with the Pens. He also got Anaheim to a Cup final. I believe he's made the playoffs 14 of 16 seasons as a head coach. I'm not saying he's the greatest coach, but he's got a damn good resume. Calling him a fraud is comical. |

yeah thats way more in the ballpark. however, Id love to see Ghost in AV's system, which is predicated on speed and controlled breakouts. Ghost has great offensive awareness and really good offensive abilities. Trocheck would be a good get don't get me wrong, but id rather keep Ghost, and sign a guy like Brock Nelson or Duchene to slot into our 2C spot. |

DeBrusk would be a nice add to the Flyers roster. We need a player who can play chippy and gritty. We might have this in Hartman but we need more. |

Yes. It happened so fast, without the benefit of replay it's easy for the referee to get that wrong. Las Vegas has no grounds to complain, their PK got eviscerated with the season on the line. - PLindbergh31
I wish stuff like that could be reviewed. get the damn call right. that said, yeah you need to step up and kill the penalty. i mean, one goal...ok. 4? |

Fraud is a harsh word, i agree. He is mentioned in the media and paid like the best coach to walk the earth and I just don't see him as close to that in any way. |

I think it's happened once where a team scored 4 goals on a major penalty.
Not to mention LVK tied the game with under a minute left. Win the game in OT. They know they are the better team and they lost. They are looking for excuses. |

I can't believe that, you have a guy like William Carrier who played 7 minutes, didnt even play in OT, yet a guy like PEB who can play any position, and his only duties on that team are to be solid in his own zone, can win faceoffs if necessary, and be a PK'er. Imagine in the 3rd having a fresh PEB on the bench for that PK? I mean i know he wasn't like the difference maker of game 7 like it sounds like im doing, but he could have had a huge impact for that specific reason. it was comical how they folded on that PK, it seemed like every shot got through, they didnt win one faceoff, and fumbled several clearing chances away.
Why didnt Gallant use his timeout after the first one? or even the second one?? - sjk540
PEB had to have had some sort of injury in game 6. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough, the guy has been a stalwart on that 4th line between Reaves and Carrier in his 2 years here. I never really appreciated all that he did when he was with the Flyers and maybe that was because i was all caught up in the Flyerdom negativity.
There's no way Gallant sits him in game 7 if he wasn't hurt. He's a favorite of the coach. It's pretty sad to think that might have been his last game as a Knight, but if it was i hope he gets into another great situation for himself. |

I'd be good with Nelson next year.
I do wonder how much ice time Gostisbehere ges next year. If they are serious on adding a vet defender to the top 4, who loses minutes? I think Myers will be in the top 4 so i think Gostisbehere's minutes will drop which could effect production then. |

Trocheck is a really good forward.
But Gostisbehere at his best is still more valuable (position, mostly).
Flyers need to be really careful. As we know all too well by now, young dmen aren't linear in development. Trade Ghost now, and then watch Sanheim sophomore slump, Prov not bounce back, or Myers/Morin get hurt again.
I know they want to bring in a vet, but they shouldn't act like it's a numbers game when they still don't know exactly what they have in-house right now. |

I'm probably more open to trading Jake than Ghost for the reasons you mentioned but at the same time I don't think we have the right mix of d men. Need a bigger guy who can hold his own in the top 4 imo. I think that's a lot to ask of Morin at this point in time. |
