It was also Gardiner and Dermott giving the puck directly to the Bruins players that lead to two of those minuses. The third was an empty netter.

Matthews shoots the puck in the net when he is wide open. He creates virtually nothing on his own unless it's early in the regular season. He is a shooter making 11.5 and will leave when his contract is done. How he got more than JT is mind boggling, unless you realize Dubas. He showed some d game but to win in the playoffs you need to be nasty. He is not nasty. A good guy to have on a team with other guys that play physical, not that guy in the wussy leafs. I like him but they did zero to help him.

Trolling or have you never watched a Leafs game ever?

I have ten fingers to point, and am happy to also use my pen!s if neccessary.

Babcock will certainly suffer the wrath of the Wedgie.

I don’t want a whipping boy though

I want the team to be relatively without faults.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

At least we are close to that. This team absolutely has faults but they're fixable faults. Remember teh bozek was our number 1 center...*shutters*

It's a trend with Gardiner though.
- walshyleafsfan

Gardiner is gone.

No need to worry about him anymore.

benn - seguin - radulov line.
people should look at that line a bit to understand what playoff hockey is about and how you win a series.

Leafs finally unload the burden of playing plugs like Komarov and Martin who definitely didn’t sweep the penguins and are definitely not going to the second round. Thank god for that. And thank God we have Nylander who’s such a good guy, out there battling (sorta but not really) and being an effective center option (also sorta, not really)

I also blame Matthews for playing only 18 minutes. WHat was he thinking?
- Hockey_Reverend

He was thinking about the warm spring air on the golf course.

seriously I'd rather sign Hainsey than Gardiner... its not that Hainsey's great - he isn't but he's serviceable ...

Gardiner on the other hand makes every partner worse

That will be the biggest addition by subtraction move that they can make

- BorjeFan4Ever

That's why I didn't want Gardiner with Dermott. Dermott's development is massively important to the Leafs.

Pairing him with Gardiner like tonight, better not blow his confidence like we've seen before with some players.

This is an elite team
2 elite centers
elite winger
elite defenseman
elite goaltender

it needs toughness and minor tinkering ad mostly a new coach

Full of the awful takes tonight eh?

Andersen and Matthews were 2 of the Leafs 3 best players in the series. Next you’ll be bashing Rielly.
