ever notice that payback is a female dog, you reap what you sow all year long - onesmallleap
What payback though? I've never trolled any team, but what payback does a fan whose team wasn't good enough to even qualify get from a playoff team losing? That doesn't equal missing the playoffs in the first place. |

seriously, that was a fitting end.
I bet Nylander had the best advanced stats of any Leaf forward tonite.
On a serious note - what they decide to do with that guy will tell us a lot about "how big their window really is"...
seriously big decision... can the Leafs live and thrive without Nylander's 7 goals...
- BorjeFan4Ever . The time to trade him is gone. It would have been before how useless he has proven to be.....

Yep. You need talent on the top 6, bottom 6 not so much. Of course, if you are going to play your stud 18 minutes then maybe you do need skill on the 4th line? - Hockey_Reverend
We have Bracco, skilled but small, how much is that going to help the fourth line.
He needs to be slotted on the second or third line.
Sand paper and some skill, we have Marchment.
Engvall is big but not a grit player, he has talent.
Then there’s that Russian kid they took second overall that i believe is coming over but not ready yet.

With Kadri in the line-up, we have a 3rd line.
How can you say you need guys like Kadri, when he isn't in the line-up? - Atomic Wedgie
Fair enough. Got to be on the ice to make a difference. Don't need anymore cheerleaders. He should know better.
Of all the fingers to point, I would point it at Babcock. He may have to go into hiding for a few days/weeks. I didn't understand his deployment choices but I don't watch the leafs much so maybe he likes to 'spread out his scoring'. I hate that idea and saying. Load up like the Stars and Avalanche do. Nothing to lose in game 7. |

I was cautiously optimistic when they signed him, but he really had to earn it to keep me happy with that money, he did the opposite. - Arctic_AARDVARK
The only bright point, is that he cant be worse next year, right? Lol.....I hope... |

Their "victory" is when the Leafs lose.
It's pretty pathetic, but hardly surprising. - Aetherial
Pretty much true but that’s cuz nothing gets us endeared to the Leafs. The Jets don’t get the hate other Canadian teams get. We all get it the Leafs have a huge following but the rest of us are tired of hearing about the Leafs & the over saturation of press they get.
Freddie needs a better backup to lighten his load. Cap problems are coming but nothing that cannot be overcome. The D needs a makeover but has good pieces already. My question is will Dubas stand pat pretty much or shuffle up the roster? Plenty of offence but lacking depth of PO type players. |

Well Matthews was -3. Played third most basically a shift less than Tavares and Marner. Gauthier played 8 and change. You guys are insane |

Trade Anderson to Edmonton for Nurse +
Sign Bobrovsky as a free agent
Bring in a decent backup
Make Marleau retire to save face instead of putting him on the 4th line
Get a decent defensive 4th line centre who might actually score a goal some day
Let Gardiner walk and play Rosen
Re-sign Hainsey for 1 year
That's it for now, you are welcome

So is Babcock done? 50 milion is a ton of cash and it was rumored a lot of guys in Detroit didn't like paying for him not sure how true that is but Matthew's doesn't seem to care for him |

On a positive note ...I think Pat Marleau is the type that knows when it's time to hang them up. Cue the trade to the desert.
And who was Babs referring to when he said they had two big bodies coming up to the team next year? - The Law
That was a weird comment. |

Ya, that’s the thing with Bracco. SMALL... do we need another high skilled small player? SO we can play Auston less? If you can dump guys like Willy, then keep Bracco in the AHL another year for the future... |

That's just it.....the Leafs can't afford the Nylander and Marleau contracts and Marleau's isn't tradeable. Nylander must be dealt, because there's Marner's, Kapi's, and Johnsson's contract's coming due. Somewhere, they need to find money to pick up a couple of good defencemen, once Gardiner and Hainsey are let go. Mussin's contract cancels out Gardiner's.

How much does Marner get? And does he have any demand as to coaching changes? - Arctic_AARDVARK

not really - should Leaf fan give a rats ass if Vancouver is good or bad - that's an individual call.
when some donkey wanders in here making Luongo for Kadri, Bozak and 2 1sts arguments... that's kind of an invitation to be abused - badly.
it would be really interesting (if I cared enough) to look back at some of the comments in here made by Canuck fans, and Sens fans when the Leafs were really bad... I'm not thinking many were of the "understanding" variety - but lots and lots of them were very TROLLY...
but knock yourself - prove me wrong - BorjeFan4Ever
I agree with you. Leafs fans have taken a lot of abuse in the past when the team was really bad. my only point is that its not a one way street that other fans don't get trolled in forums or in real life...
i outlined my experience a few times being harassed just walking around minding my own business in the GTA... and even outside the country by leafs fans for wearing a diff team sweater... |
