This team will get better each year. Next year we need to replace Gardiner with a competent d, and we need better depth up front on our bottom 6. NOT SKILL. Depth grinders with speed. A few vets... just not as veteran as Marls...

ANd if you can trade Willy for a D, do it...

Ever notice how the trolls are almost always from teams not even in the playoffs?
- torfc23

Ever notice that people who don't cheer for the leafs in Toronto are surrounded by people who do cheer for the leafs and who insist on talking about the leafs to the non leafs fans when the non leafs fan's team loses or struggles, etc... even when they don't want to talk about that or about the leafs and then people who cheer for the leafs wonder why the non leaf fans in Toronto start talking about the leafs to the leafs fans if the leafs lose or if the non leafs fan's team does well?? have you wondered about that at all??

On a positive note ...I think Pat Marleau is the type that knows when it's time to hang them up. Cue the trade to the desert.

And who was Babs referring to when he said they had two big bodies coming up to the team next year?

Really? Or is that sarcasm? I was going to post that I thought he was the only one who had that war-like attitude needed to beat the Bruins. Love to have some of that on my team.

Obviously, I don't know what I'm talking about.

PS - leafman, please don't ban me. I like Kadri. He's got heart, no brains, but plenty of heart.

- bloatedmosquito

With Kadri in the line-up, we have a 3rd line.

How can you say you need guys like Kadri, when he isn't in the line-up?

What the frank is even the point in fining Chara $30,000?

The NHL reffing standards in the playoffs has been a joke for 101 years.

It ain't changing.

To be clear: I tip my hat to the Bruins. They know how to take advantage.

100% of the blame goes to the league.

- Atomic Wedgie

That's part of the reason the Leafs will always struggle in the playoffs until they have small few players that can take advantage of playoff officiating.

Yeah I've also turned fully on Nylander. I really thought he'd just take time to readjust but he's now proven it's not the skill that's a problem, it's his heart.
- torfc23

I was cautiously optimistic when they signed him, but he really had to earn it to keep me happy with that money, he did the opposite.

Well, i dont know about ever.
Leafs were really fun in the 90's and early 2000's.

- Fakepartofme

This team is set up better than those teams were. We'll be back.

A few of us have been saying this, need speed with size and grit, players that battle for pucks, knock players off the puck.

If your talent is not going to do it, you need to bring players that will.

you're being hyperbolic

Hate to say it but there was a poop load of us who just sat back, hands off keyboard, and watched the carnage.

There are other fans out there who have felt pain at the hands of the bruins. (frank) them.

He’s going back to the Sharks for the rights to Pat Fallon and the balance of Mike Rathje’s contract

He’s been awful this year. Showed a bit more in the playoffs. Played a little more physical and had to play with 2 anchors.

At the end of the day we can be pissed but he’s 22 (?) and you can’t give up on someone so early when he is a great player with some bad habits.

Leafs are probably bottom five in league in defense. They are so bad in front of him. Can’t believe the saves the guy is forced to make. Had a great series. Not even close to the problem. I get the first one, it was soft. But still far far from the problem. Early in the game. If you think that’s what takes the team down then you know nothing about hockey and pointing the wrong direction. They’re professional hockey players-I think they should bounce back from an early one. It’s on the whole team and coaching staff.
