Babcock waiting to put Moore and Ennis with Nylander after 5 embarrassing games of Will with Marleau and Brown was the most epic, unnecessary troll job to the fans.

He's holding this team back, and unfortunately, we all have to accept that next year is likely already burnt because of it.

I banned a couple a few days ago, I don’t think they came back.

I don’t want this thread to get out of hand, we have the most comments in every blog posted, it can go to Hell very quickly in here.

- LeafMan

I wouldn't say every blog... but yes there are a lot of comments here... more than the rest on most occasions...

I would almost say all 3 were soft.

Gardiner looks hurt/broken too

- bryant

Totally agree. Almost any other game all year long Andyboy would have stopped all three of those. He can’t take all the blame, but he really poop the bed again this game 7. Him and Gards let the boys down in a big way again.

This team played at a .500 level over a 3 month span.
Babcock has lost the team. They aren't interested in playing hard for him and don't believe in him.

More wins in regular season? Game 7 at home?

But nothing.

- Hockey_Reverend

Yes at home in game 6...

Anyways. The team is still good and can make some changes and be better.

Gwt rid of Marleau. He is done

- senstroll

Agreed. This team isn't good enough but there is still room for optimism. Changes will be made.

I agree with that. Have to find those guys. Skill gets you halfway. Leafs showed they are ten times more skilled than Boston. It’s actually not even close. But play small.
- iTOLDu

I disagree with this. Boston has plenty of skill, that's part of the reason why they are moving on

Which part? That they're good? Jesus.
Or that Dubas can fix it? Again, Jesus.

There is hope. This isn't the team we're stuck with for the next 10 years

- UsernameUnknown[/img]

There is regular season good, and then there is the guts and heart necessary to succeed in the playoffs.

regular season, Andersen bailed their asses out all year.
Playoffs, Andersen sh1ts the bed in game 7 and the rest of the team fails to show up, again.

If nothing changes, we can expect the same.

and WTF is Dubas going to do about this? He has zero cap. In fact, they are going to lose some good players this off-season.

2 more full seasons with Freddie on the books. No reason to think he'll get traded since there's no viable alternative, but at the same time he won't be re-upped without giving us a couple series wins.
- AngryWhiteMale

I'm still fine with Andersen. He doesnt play on the PP and the leafs squandered 2 chances in game 7.

Good series guys. I’ll leave this room for a few weeks if you want me to. I’d like to still be welcome, but I’d understand.

No.
They lost because babs was stupid and they didn't know how to kill a penalty or score on the PP.

- UsernameUnknown

Coaching was by far my biggest criticism. I’ve been calling for the assistants to be fired earlier, now I want Babs gone too.

Babcock has that effect. He hasn’t won a series since Shítcago in the shortened season. And he was out coached there, too.

This is insane. You are a drama queen. The Leafs are a good team. But they aren't there yet. They will be. Dubas has watched this team and learned their pros and cons and will adjust accordingly.

Babs talking...

He thinks they played good...

Does that include Nylander? Gardiner?

Dubas has backed himself into a corner now where trading Kadri will
be one of only 2-3 options. Nylander is now untradable despite the fact he could have sat through all if this for nothing. Instead he sat through it for 10 million. Meanwhile the Islanders. Wake up leaf fans, management still is inept.

can't blame the goalchie… this guy was money, can't blame him if the other guys got more will to win... leafs should have closed this out in game 6 and not even let it get to game seven...

I expect coaching changes, at least two assistants, Babcock is coming back for one more chance.

No cap space to improve from outside, it has to come from within or find a gem overseas.

- LeafMan

Sounds like the Leafs are close on a guy, but he’s another RW.

Still, odds are a few guys will have a chance at camp to crack the roster...

Brown, Gardiner, Hainsey, Ennis, and maybe Marleau gone.

Hyman-Tavares-Marner
Johnsson-Matthews-Nylander(seriously, put them back together)
Moore-Kadri-Kapanen
???-Goat?-???

Rielly-Muzzin
Dermott-Zaitsev
???-???

There’s probably room to sign a vet... but guys like Sandin, Lily, Bracco, Engvall, etc are going to battle to get in.
