I never liked Gardiner at all.
Have to say though, in his limited role he's not that bad as most on here seem to think.
Gardiner on 3rd pair is better than Rosen or Marincin for sure.

I simply don't understand that they(Shanahan, Dubas and Babcock) don't call out the officiating more aggressively, the hit/jump/elbow by Chara in the last game was ridiculous (against Muzzin). The cross check to the face by Accari(sp?) again against Muzzin was directly in front of one of the two refs.

And why they don't do it in a public forum in this day and age I simply don't understand. I get you don't want to get fined... but honestly, take a page out of the good part of Tortorella's playbook - his players know he supports them.

Force the NHL to recognize the pattern of behavior in public. They didn't seem to have an issue doing with Kadri... why would these two situations be handled any differently...

there's really no reasonable explanation for it.

It's sad Babcock doesn't play his stars. Hoping for a Marleau rejuvenating comeback. Brutal.
