Liiga is a lower level of hockey than the SHL (Swedens top league) or KHL (Russia) likely equal to Allsvenskan (Second Tier Swedish League). Not really a great indicator of translating success to the NHL and he is 27. Sounds like a bit of desperation.

Just a depth player probably destined for the AHL. Center isn't our problem. Hardly desperation.

I literally said this almost verbatim to my buddy a few minutes ago.

On Yohe’s trade thoughts: I’m ok with getting assets back on Schultz, Maatta, and Hornqvist except that obviously selling low on all three isn’t wise or ideal. I don’t want to see Ruhwedel go. The JJ saga shall continue. I’m not a Hornqvist fan, but I would take him in AZ if they miss in free agency (come onnnnn Zucc!)

If Ruhwedel goes in free agency I really hope Vancouver or New Jersey pick him up
