I meant who his wingers are here.

I'm just saying it won't be anyone as good as Marner, who i believe helped him to his best statistical season. I don't want to be the parade pisser on the topic. He would absolutely help the team.

The question for me is the trade price. If Boss is right, then that's a no from me. If Homie/Ion are right, I think it's a fine idea

Did marner play in the playoffs?

Flaccoville has been pumping his tires quite a bit.

Pretty irrelevant playoffs for "the best" leaf

Noticed 34 quite a bit though

I think Skinner may very well walk. If he does, we have a couple bucks to get replacement players. He's one I'd think about. Donskoi as another.

Just thinking out loud. Don't think this is the last place on earth people want to go, as others believe.

If you had 9M to play with, who you going after in UFA?

fwiw:

John Wawrow, who himself is kind of a pen15, says "told still no reason to begin worrying about Skinner status"

He's pretty plugged into both orgs.

Bottom line, we don't know poop, we assume poop cause we're all Debbie (frank)ing Downers, but we don't know poop. The relationship between player and team has been nothing but positive up to this very second.

Hutton:
I had wondered for maybe the final two months of the season if Hutton regretted signing with Buffalo. He said, “I came here because I trust in Jason and I trust where this is headed and nothing goes unwatched here so you just hope everything is going to move in the right direction and I feel we have trust in him and it’s going to.”

-----------------------
Skinner:
Many felt being from Toronto played into his decision, but he said in reality, it didn’t, “It’s a positive all things considered because my family is excited, but for me when you rank the priorities and weigh everything that goes into it, it’s nice to be close to family and friends, but for me, my focus is winning and having a good season.

“I want to come into camp and be as prepared as possible to start on the right foot. The core, the ownership and the management, those things are on the top of your list and the other things are just bonuses.”

Oh I hear you, just have to go with my life experience. In mine, most of the guys who make it to the summer without a contract are going to walk. I don't care about him golfing with the boys, it sounds great, but until he puts pen to pad it is moot.

If you notice, one of the things I said was that we were not a "last place destination" by any means. I don't think there's some huge stigma. I just don't think that Skinner signs given how things have turned out. Nothing more.

Who do you want out of UFA for 2C that isn't Duchene or Karlsson?

Dobber won't let me update the line combos from 17-18, but i believe he spent a lot of time with Marner, who then played with JT when JT came over this year. Regardless of who we get, they won't be as good as Marner, and I believe a good portion of his statistical success from last year could probably be traced to that pairing.

I'm not saying he sucks, I'm just suggesting we temper our expectations

- jcragcrumple

Kadri had 44 points in 48 games in the lockout year before Matthews, Marner, Nylander existed.

Going back to the KO topic, has anyone suggested to him a change in body type? I know his game is predicated on puck possession down low and using his frame, but perhaps he could drop down a weight class to gain a half a step and reinvent himself.

Not an attack on you. I'm just so sick of the group here with the constant whining and complaining NO ONE EVER COMES HERE. This poop happens every single year around this time, and mark my words it will show back up soon.

Was he playing with fat man Phil?

Again, not a bad player, and he would be a good addition. What's he cost?

Jason Woolley was on nhl radio earlier today, talking about the 99 run

it was all about team work, everyone on the same page

and getting out of the way so dom could be dom

I know it's a different era, but you have to have that locker room chemistry and some bangers

Skinner has specifically explained this scenario, and to paraphrase, he doesn't give a poop about the short term, it's the long term vision he's being sold on.

Understood. After this year, we might want to excuse some of the pessimism, but I get it. The doom and gloom Sabres fans are the absolute worst.
