Am I just being a nervous Nelly to be concerned that there haven't been any rumblings around our RFA's being re-signed? We have a lot - Provorov, Sanheim, Hartman, Konecny to name a few. |

What line he plays on won't hide his flaws. You need 4 lines that can skate with speed and pass now. 4th line mucking and grinding doesn't fly anymore. - hereticpride
I wouldn't call Simmer a mucker and grinder yet. Guy can still skate, still has stick skills, can still agitate. its not like he's a hal gill out there. i understand people wanna go younger and thats fine, I dont mind Hartman on the 4th line. But in the event of an injury, or something along those lines, Id still feel more comfortable inserting a guy like Simmer on the 2nd or 3rd line if necessary or a PP unit, over a guy like Hartman who really has only been one thing in his career.
Agree to disagree i guess. |

Not at all, they are all pretty unique situations that could go a couple different ways. I don't expect any of them exactly go quickly. Both sides have a lot to say and the long term verse bridge option is a decision Fletch is going to have to make. |

Not really.
You already kind of have a 4th line of Raffl - Laughton - Hartman. And the way Vigneault talked about "talent doesn't have an age" it would seem like some guys(Farabee, Frost) might be given a chance to earn roster spots.
I just don't see a need for him unless it's some remarkable deal like something Raffl signed. - J35Bacher
You could also take this is a pitch for vets too, thats kinda how I took it tbh... |

Their GM made great decisions and fleeced more than one team, no one expected them to be good. |

Who says no?
To Nashville: Voracek, Gostisbehere
To Philadelphia: Arvidsson, Subban
Just curious. - J35Bacher
Rumor has it that Subban has chronic back issues so that, coupled with his salary is a pass from me. |

Seeing some mocks that have the Flyers taking Cole Caufield in the draft.
Thought? Intriguing that’s for sure. He could definitely be called a sniper. With some of the bigger bodies we have potential on the way on the next year or two it’s worth a shot. - bird_dog_pa
The more I read of his game, the more I like the thought of him as a Flyer. I know the comparison to DeBrincat is already being made ad nauseam, but if he turns out to be anything similar, I’ll take it. This team definitely needs a sniper or two. |

I was more along the lines talking about talent that would be brought onto the roster that would be viewed as veteran players. and when i say veteran i dont mean mid 30's guys, I mean guys who have played in this league for a while, i mean Coots could be considered a vet, but also some FA targets who fall in that area too |

Does not seem to be the case from the presser segment. The question was about young player development:
What is your philosophy in developing younger players?
Without a doubt, a lot, in my mind, goes into the development of young players. It starts probably a lot before they get to my stage at the NHL level with the development coaches, the strength and conditioning coaches. At our level, there’s not one coach that will not play a player that will permit him to win. I firmly believe that talent has no age. If a guy who’s 19 can step in and help the Flyers win and be competitive, he’s going to play. Talent has no age. You just have to put players, young and old, and your core guys, in situations where they can best help the team. If you do that, then you’re going to win more games than you lose.

Ohhh, well yeah, in this context 100% I still haven't read the entire transcript of the press conference, just the small videos the flyers website put out.
