He could go 3rd I bet, they’ve had success with debrincat. Edmonton would love to get him too to play with mcjesus.

In a weird roundabout way, I wonder if Calgary losing helped the Rangers. You know how many old hockey people are still in the league, you know those same old hockey people were like "look Gaudreau got shut down when it counted, size still does matter."

It would be a complete BS take, but you know someone out there is thinking it.

Idk. Goalies are so hard to judge. Like What makes Henrik Lundqvist great and what makes Al Montoya bad? Even though Montoya was the prized prospet.

It's certainly possible, but I have a feeling Chicago might take Byram
- eichiefs9

I was listening to nhl on Sirius and an LA guy was on and apparently the Kings love Byram

Timing. Montoya started to grow in the AHL when the King was tearing things up here . Montoya still turned out to be an OKish backup. Not want you want from a first round pick for sure. However, if Hank never becomes a thing, maybe all the development gets focused on Montoya and he becomes a reliable starter.

I wouldn't be surprised if he made it to them either. Chicago would be smart to start building up a defensive core. They've already got Boqvist and Byram would really solidify that position for them. Flat-out trade raping Arizona for Strome gives them the breathing room to do it.

I wonder if Colorado would have interest in Caufield.

Makes sense. Even if you basically declare Vilardi dead. La has done a sneaky good job at building their forward prospect depth. Akil Thomas, Rasmus Kupari, Anderson-Dolan and Grundstrom.

He brought him up too and it’s not looking great. Crazy how someone so young can have such a bad back. My back sucks but I’m also 45 haha

Yeah but that had either something from birth or genes. Like Blackburn and his shoulder. Just a freak circumstance.

Yeah I liked that pick for them.

Where do you usually go to see the entirety of a team's prospect pool? Hockeysfuture used to be terrible but it was at least a good breakdown of all the players teams have. I hate the way it's laid out on EP and HockeyDB sucks.

Actually most likely 10, my birthday is late. I didn't even realize that was a thing back then.

the first time I desperately logged onto the internet and looked for a hockey blog was when Messier left to go to Vancouver, I dialed up and waited 10 minutes to connect so I could find somewhere to freak out

Yeah it's terrible. It'd be nice to have another site that breaks down prospects by position for each team. I hate the way EP lays it out, it's so annoying and confusing. HDB's draft history feature is nice but it doesn't account for guys that were signed or traded for.
