It's maddening because you have this ultra-fast attacking team but it's being handcuffed by your coach's insistence on playing old slow guys way, way too much.
- BINGO!

I dont think its alll on Babcock, I think our defense really slow down our forwards as our breakout frankly sucks because they play slow. Literally our breakout strategy is mostly bank it off the boards and give back possession of the puck.

If you watched game 5, the Leafs actually had a decent breakout which made such as a huge difference.

Agree 100%. The coach is a massive issue with this team. He coaches like they are a team with very little talent trying to win by a goal.

His coaching in game 6 was an embarrassment. Stop with the line-matching obsession and let them play.

Given the talent on the Leafs' roster, he's not getting the most out of them.

I am just shocked he's still not getting enough minutes.

Leafs needs to stay out of the penalty box for that to happen.

It's not all on Babcock but my god, his coaching in game 6 made no sense.

The very fact Leafs are better in everyway on the road tells me line-matching hurts the team.

Because the coach doesn't play his best players on the PK like any other coach. Why isn't Tavares on the PK? Have you seen who plays on Boston's PK?

Bad excuse. The PK is horrific without them so why not play them?

Sure, but the Leafs lost that game because their specialty coach is employing beer league strategies more then anything.

There is no excuse for not changing the PP up right now, and the PK could litterally just run out there with no strategy and be better.

Babcock is the boss. He needed to address the Special teams during the season.

I think Dubas has to find a way to get rid of Marleau. He's just hurting the team on the ice, as well as with the cap.

He needs to be able to trust his assistants. You can run everything by yourself. Their special teams coaches should be fired after this year regardless of outcome.

Everything is relative to expectations, right?

Caps fans are SUPER mad online because they think they still have the team they had last year. They don't.

- BINGO!

I hope the Canes pull it out, my hockey pool depends on it. but I also like Caps fans to be mad online

So he just sits around and lets it happen? Why do they need to get fired in the summer? He's had months to do something.

Leafs do have more "Talent". There's no doubt about it.
And if Toronto doesn't choose Sparks as the backup, do Leafs finish below Boston in the standings? I don't think so. And that has no bearing on this series.

Home ice will be the difference.

While from a fan perspective id love the Canes to win, I think Washington has a better chance against the Islanders.

It hasn't been in the 6 games thus far. It's been meaningless. Leafs will be much better than in game 7. Les chances of their coach screwing-it-up.

It will come down to specialty teams IMO.

It occurred the same time as the ridiculous Matthews interference goal coverage and they ignored the offside completely.

There's too much negativity about the Leafs.

- RogerRoeper

Meh, I dont worry about it.
they've been a joke for decades, they brought it on themselves (Management and former owners), its gonna take some real success for some to move on.
Tonight, they have that opportunity.

But aren't we suppose to be better than them?
you dont think some leaf fans blast twitter with stupidity over foolish things?

It happens.
But honestly I feel Ron what making a joke that was both a small shot at the leafs and all other hockey fans.

Game 7 is a different beast altogether. That being said, this is the best chance leafs have of advancing of the times they've played the Broons. So if they are gonna do it, this is the best chance they've had to date.

I won't be surprised if the leafs win. I think Kadri being out helps them.

My strategy if I was the coach.

1. Play the two Hall of Fame defensemen I have for a lot of ice time!
2. Play one of the greatest two-way centres of all time a lot.
3. Play those two Super Swedes a lot too!
4. Make sure Old Man Chelios is off the ice when that Crosby kid shows up!
5. Know the team is too good to be sunk by the goaler.

Stanley Cup!

i am sort of schizo about the isles 😭

i love a good underdog story and i like trotzky and uncle leo so i would love to see them go all the way 👍

my other personality is worried that snakevares will never be the same if that “huge” offseason decision as to where he will be playing hockey for tens of millions of dollars for the next decade bites him in the ass😭

I am not thinking that far ahead at all.

If the Leafs can win and i have to think that far off, a Leafs Isls series would be pretty interesting
