I am really fed up with the overreactions and just tune it all out after a loss.
The media are idiots and so anti-Leafs. - RogerRoeper
Most arent anti leaf, the leafs just havent proving anything in the playoffs yet.
If they win tonight, ill think you'll see that change.

The leafs have a chance to write a new beginning for themselves ans change the narrative. Or they do what most expect them to and have predicted, simply not good enough to beat one team and move on to the 2nd round.
Its in their hands now, good thing about game 7's, is that you find out who has what it takes to step up.
Go leafs. - Fakepartofme
Yeah, we're doomed. |

Eh I dunno. Ron Maclean apologized to Canada for the Leafs being the remaining team and they also ignored the offside goal and spent the entire night talking about Matthews' goal. |

Still sucks that even if we manage, CBJ is waiting, and they're probably the team to beat now. They didn't beat Tampa by accident and they have a real good shot at going the distance.
Buds/Broons definitely got pooched in their bracket - UsernameUnknown
Meh, all i want is for the leafs to beat boston, if they dont win another game after that, so be it.
Well i hope they win at least one game. |

Thing with Columbus is, they are so much better than the team that barely made the playoffs. They made the most upgrades as any team at the deadline.
Leafs can beat them if they play their best. |

They had 4 more wins and 3 more points than the Pens....
I know most people thought Pittsburgh would win, but the Isles WERE the higher seeded team, at least. - BINGO!
Seeding isnt always everything. Do you think that if the Leafs had a few more wins then the Bruins the Leafs would be considered the favorites? Points dont alway mean the better team in playoff matchups |

It was joke, more of a shot at non leaf fans than at the leafs. He does that often.
Leaf fans need to be less sensitive. |

Yes
I also think the Leafs are a better team than the Bruins if deployed properly. |

Turn that around, would Hab/Canuck/Sens/Oilers/Flames/Jets fans take it as a joke?
They are overly sensitive, not Leaf fans. They blast twitter the moment a Leaf player gets a compliment. |

No, sorry, no one would have picked and considered the Leafs to be favorites. Especially in todays games with having a loser point, the points couldnt mean less.
I do agree with you though, i think the Leafs deployed properly are the better team, but they have the weaker defense and lack the experience Boston has. |

Everything is relative to expectations, right?
Caps fans are SUPER mad online because they think they still have the team they had last year. They don't. |

Matthews should play minimum 22+ minutes tonight. There's no tomorrow if they lose.
Marleau better see very little minutes. |

I'm already mad about Walshy and Cherry-Skewl going on about how we lost the series because we didn't have enough GRIIIIIIT.

Leafs and Bruins separated by one ROW.
As I said, when deployed properly, the Leafs have the better roster.
Boston's offensive depth sucks. |

Leafs do have more "Talent". There's no doubt about it.
And if Toronto doesn't choose Sparks as the backup, do Leafs finish below Boston in the standings? I don't think so. And that has no bearing on this series. |

It's maddening because you have this ultra-fast attacking team but it's being handcuffed by your coach's insistence on playing old slow guys way, way too much. |

But aren't we suppose to be better than them?
you dont think some leaf fans blast twitter with stupidity over foolish things?
It happens.
But honestly I feel Ron was making a joke that was both a small shot at the leafs and all other hockey fans. |

It occurred the same time as the ridiculous Matthews interference goal coverage and they ignored the offside completely.
There's too much negativity about the Leafs. |

If CBJ had that lineup from game one this season, I'd put money on them being a top 5 team. Maybe even top 3. But they still aren't better than Tampa—well not on paper, anyway. Tampa malfunctioned big time, IMO. Obviously CBJ showed they were better than the Tampa that showed up for the playoffs.
It's crazy, regular season means Sweeeeet-FA once the playoffs start. |
