People complain about a lack of consistency but I feel like they have been consistently terrible all year - RatedR80
This playoff has been excruciatingly poor.. Game 6 of the SJ/Vegas series was almost as bad as game 2 of the Leafs/Bruins series. |

They should be held accountable like players are....subjected to fines and suspensions and reviews on bad calls - RatedR80
the media in Canada has enough influence that they could affect the same - 'cause the NHL sure as hell isn't going to anything.
when you have donkeys like Hughson and SImpson calling games with their own internal biases on display... and the garbage that Cherry and MacLean spew during they ANALysis - the officials never get called out for outrageous misses - and there are plenty. |

On camera he was seen saying “that’s some (frank)ing bullpoop” I have to agree - RatedR80
Yeah, that should have been a goal.
The ref (frank)ed up and made a bad call on the ice so they made up a reason after, that the reason it was no goal was because OV pushed the goalie into the net. Comical. |

sooner or later, the league needs to address this.
Playoff refereeing, letting everything go, leads to escalating tensions on the ice, it penalizes teams that earned a powerplay chance. It interferes as much with the game as making a call does. The league needs to get over the idea of "let the players decide it" is bullpoop. |

100% agree.
The fact that they have the most job security is (frank)ing insane.
Like, if I owned a business and my employee's were as (frank)ing bad at their jobs as these refs are, they'd be fired in a second. |

Some guys do call out the refs or say it was a bad call but I get what you are saying....everyone should get together and say enough is enough but would the NHL even listen then?

Is it just because a lot of the older Refs are retiring so they are filling their spots with guys who clearly aren’t ready for it?

Islanders fans are so funny. One decent year and JT made the wrong decision and he's bad lol.
His decision was also about long term as well. Plus they got to play Pittsburgh instead of Boston in the first round. Boston probably would have swept them - Archaic

I’m throughly not enjoying the playoffs.
The non Leafs games are great, but when you have real expectations for your team it makes it hard to enjoy unless they’re up by at least 4 goals. |

I believe the broad social exposure would eventually have an impact.
Or simply take an approached used in countries where the best soccer is played, such as Brazil, Argentina or Spain. Let the fans carry out on the spot judgements of the officials. |

Aren’t these the same fans that are likely to kill a ref let alone provide judgement?
