the organization is also genius because they have you focused on hating the statue removal instead of the players on the ice |

Did you miss the part about the song being satire? BTW, "everyone" means everyone, whether you agree with them or not. |

Lol how many people do you think were racist in the early 1900s? Not that it's right but you can't just shun a whole generation for a way of life at the time. As Bill said history is messy. |

You are as moronic as you are laughable! You don’t get to label anyone as anything. Since when did you become the official dispenser of labels? You don’t know anything about me, my values, and those I’ve loved and helped throughout my lifetime. Typical PC correct idiot. You are proving my point about knee jerk reactions from know nothing idiots!! Please get a clue before running your mouth. Dope! |

A woman who traveled over 500K miles during WW2 for the troops... Who are role models today, Kim Kardashian, Cardi B? Please save me the role models garbage. Those are the people young women are looking up to, numbers don't lie, look at the tv ratings, the makeup revenue, turn on a radio. |

Sure it’s not hard to understand that social media boycotts by mostly bot campaigns makes corporations scared to stand by any kind of principles.
I could care less about the statue. If they never put out a press release and never played Kate’s version of God bless America most people probably never really notice.
The bigger picture is the need for a segment of society to erase any egregious acts from the past in today’s eyes from current culture.
I mean if you wear a Trump hat and you are triggered then we have multiple media companies excusing the behavior.
Then when caught in lies they double down and blame everyone else.
“Show me the man I’ll show you the crime”.
It’s getting closer than you think in today’s world. Can we not have politics in everything.
It’s disgusting really.

When they do it in support of our troops, yes, I do think that person is a good person. |

So many posters have said it was inevitable after what the Yankees did. Since when does a Yankees decision dictate what the Flyers do? Grow a damn spine and step up to plate. Take a stand for what you believe, instead of follow, like cattle led to the slaughterhouse. I’m about ready to sever my relationship with the Flyers over this. Season ticket holder for more than 25 years, and rabid fan, it’s hard to support an organization without a spine, and rudder headed in the direction of PC culture. I’ll watch once in a while, and wish them well, but I’m no longer giving any of my money for this organization, or the initiatives they support. I know of 7 other friends, who like me, are fed up. I guess when it hits them in the wallet, they’ll wake up, or try getting money from the PC club. - Hokeeguy9
I really don't want to get into this because I don't think it's a good topic for hockeybuzz because it's too much about the real world. Hockeybuzz should be an escape from real life issues. The Flyers, who are owned by Comcast made a business decision. It's not an issue of personal or moral beliefs, it's about the bottom line. The made a determination on what they feel is best for business.

Just got done watching a video of her singing from a may 19th game against the Bruins. 36-3-1 when she sang heading into that game. That is pretty crazy.
Side note: had a chuckle seeing that "racist" shake Phil Esposito's hand at the end. |

Did she visit only white troops? I don't know and I doubt you do either.
Did she have control over the composition of the troops? I think not.
You're obviously trying to conflate multiple unrelated things.
She sang a song in a sarcastic manner and now the radical left wing PC wackos are trying to paint her as a racist. If she wasn't white, I doubt this is even an issue. |

Two questions: 1. Would Philadelphia consider trading Couturier?
And, if so would a package of Trouba, Roslovic and Lowry be enough to get it done? |

Making decisions for business reasons alone is always for the best. I actually thought you might understand that.
Without interjecting they were right wrong or not but basing all decisions on business principles is bad business.
At some point an organization has to have base core values.
Comcast imo based this decision on expediency. Comcast will do whatever they feel they need to do to avoid social media backlash. |
