I looked up the RFA list, there are a few that would work:
Marner
Tkachuk
Connor
Aho
Rantanen
Point (maybe)
Grimaldi - DarthKane
That’s a great list featuring some of the leagues best young stars and Rocco Grimaldi. |

The Hawks should offer sheet him and then draft Cole Caulfield at 3. |

Yep, totally worth a week or even a month to troll Nashville - that’s why I get those who are piling on the Toronto board. If that’s the team you love to hate, then have at it. - Chief4Feathers

Hey JL, Any news on Anton Wedin, the other Euro that the Hawks were linked to a couple of days ago?
Apreciate your work as always - AusHawk
Haven't heard much other than the same reports you saw.
It's apparent they are shopping aggressively overseas.

Justin wiz mention about trading the 3rd overall pick for an rfa wonder if this could be another option for bowman and company to explore, it have to be an exceptional player though. - Scott1977
Anything can happen but I see them making the pick. |

they are not trading that pick...and i don't see them making rfa offer sheet...
those are very rare and seems to be a do not touch agreement among GM..
how many of those happened over the last 10 years? i can only think of ryan O reilly when he was with the aves...

Four of the teams with the most serious cap problems this summer, Tampa Bay, Toronto, Vegas, and Winnipeg all ousted in the first round of the playoffs. They will have to shed a few depth players each and bring in a bunch of prospects on ELC's or veterans on cheap contracts, making their quest for the Cup next year a little bit harder. |

how many years is the NHL entry level contract? not only will the Hawks get an elite player at 3, but a very cost controlled contract - SO VALUABLE
