This is true since it really was a group thing tho I heard the drafting side was Hunters deal.....anyways now that EK reported it that means Verbeek has the best odds of getting the job

All former gm’s say they draft whoever their scouts tell them to. In that case a good scouting department is more important.
For trades and signings I think someone with experience might be the way to go.

I dont see why it's important to get their guy by May 1st. If they are interested in McCrimmon and the feeling is mutual, you wait. Dont handcuff yourself with a time deadline if there is no serious reason to.

It’s weird considering it’s been stated that Gretzky is running the draft so yeah what’s the rush? Unless McCrimmon shot Bob a text saying thanks but no thanks....McCrimmon might want to start from the ground up with Seattle as he helped with Vegas
