Anyone think Yzerman will be looking to make some deals in Detroit? Could Daley find his way back in Chicago?

Probably better classified as a 3rd liner that's just buried on a deep Winnipeg team, that's a minor complaint. If you're going after anyone from the Jets, it should be Copp. He drives results across virtually every dimension (shot share, chance share, goal share, team rel. numbers, etc) every season of his career and seems to elevate both Tanev and Lowry's play. Even if he's doing it in softer minutes (which I'm not convinced he is), that consistent outproduction from a bottom-6 line just means your top-6 have less of a burden to shoulder.

Nah. Tanev is a 4th liner. Nothing wrong with that. He is good at it. He doesn't have enough offense to his game. Copp probably would provide offense in that kind of role.

You hate a player that is up for the Selke every season and knows how to play the center position at both ends of the ice better than just about any other player in the league? I will take him on the Hawks anytime. And he is as good a 2nd round draft pick a team could hope for.

I actually favor all of the O-6 teams in the tournament.

Justin i would expand the trade and add a 5th and get reeves or carrier. Still would not give up on hayden i still think there is potential with him. Trade to boston that involves AA would not work they Charlie Coyle who could play center but maybe AA and Perlin to a cap strap team for a young 2nd and prospect. Tanev is not a top six forward 3 years at 3 million per year sounds right. Plus i would see what Simmons would want maybe 2 years for 5 million. Hypothetical lines:

Saad toews kane
Dcat strome simmods
Tanev eakin kauhn
Caggiulla kampf reeves/ carrier
Kublick
Keith joki
McNabb gus
Murphy Seabrook
Veteran d man

Crawford
Delia or ward if Crawford status is not good

For a defensive guy he didn't have much to work with on his line yet he still amassed about 2o goals. Looks to be a solid 4th line contributor perhaps injury fill in. Plays a style game that would fit what Colliton will stress in training camp. Good value at $700,000 one yr just signed announcement today. He must be a valuable piece on team to be voted team mvp.

I hate seeing a team weak defensively like Toronto beat a team that will check you and cross check you. I respect a team that plays hard even if a bit dirty but i detest the all offensive Leafs
