Wouldn’t expect much trade value out of a mid-tier prospect who might become a ufa

Same with Hutton, Tryamkin, etc

They'll demand a NTC in their rookie deal

All i'm saying is the 10th pick in the draft this year won't have seasons ticket holders running out to renew.

With the draft being in VAN the team has an opportunity to hit a PR home run and create some excitement in the city.

Sadly I don't think management has the stones or skill set to pull something like that off.

Example ___TANEV & Goldobin _______ for the young D JB covets.

Not being a d1ck, but why the pressure to make a big splash, shouldn’t management try to do what’s best at every draft? I for one don’t care if Aquilini gets more season ticket holders.

What will create excitement in this city is a team that gives fans hope. Big moves only give temporary excitement.

What I care about is trading Horvat, Demko & OJ plus the 2020 1st for the 2019 1st overall pick. That will create excitement all the way to the playoffs and then anything can happen.

Then trade Hughes bros for Toews and Kane in 2021, even more excitement!

Just read it. Very interesting. Doesn't sound like they intend to trade up or down. Sounds like they are focused in on #10.

lol at onesmallleap taking heat for that Horvat-Point deal

It can’t be that bad if Tampa wouldn’t offer it in the first place.

Jkuzzi is the one who cries for attention with stupid trade ideas

Maybe Boldy will fall to us, nice goal against Slovaks today. Good hands/speed for a kid that big. That’s a combo i can get behind!

You really think that’s an easy trade for Tampa?

I might just post this on HFBoards just to give you guys a glimpse into how highly Tampa and a lot of neutral fans think of Point

Hopefully, and im sure someone on staff, was at the US game too. Not surprised though, we should be happy with soderstrom, he’s ahead of the curve developmentally and has shown a lot of all-around game. Might end up being the best d in the draft. Plays in the SHL already which is no joke.

I never said it was a no brainer. I dont even know what hfboards is. I just think dealing horvat for point is a useless trade. I wont rehash it, but I didnt mention leap for his point and horvat trade, you just added that in...

Jordan Spence is basically Soderstrom but possibly 2+ rounds cheaper. Spence has an overall Tanev vibe (except he has functional wrist & slap shots). Cerebral, poised, reliable, hockey IQ+++. I’d much rather take a real player at 10. A guy like Rees at 40. Guys like Spence 71st & later.

I would expect a lot of hostility and Bo insults, but it’s not that far off considering Bo’s defensive/leadership skills. As 1c point would get torched defensively imo.

Fair enough. Onesmallleap is a big time pom pom waver but he doesn’t really propose trading the young guys from what I’ve seen so I assume you included him due to that proposal the other day.

Don’t see any other reason for him to be lumped in with that other troll

They also so thought TB was going to win the cup . Why would you ask a group of posters that have been known to be hugely wrong what they think?

Point was used against top lines in last year’s playoffs and was still a PPG.
