The Canucks should trade Boeser and 2020's 1st for him.
- Marwood

It was you who texted in to 650 yesterday asking on the cost to move up to 1 wasn’t it? Ryan Biech suggested that 10, 40 and Boeser probably wasn’t enough to get 1.

No. Suddenly being mentioned as a top 5 pick is hype.
- DrChristianTroy

So players climbing in their draft year after scoring 62 goals . I think Hischier climbed also after being seen in tournaments. I think that is where many players get showcased.

No one saying Canucks should go out and try to get him but I think anyone saying he is over hyped is

Ya I guess you're right some Canadians do retire there. More Phoenix though.

TB just got crushed in the playoffs, the team has a lot of players not performing. Not sure why
theyre all harping on just him.

Well this could be good. Maybe they place him for sale and green could work his magic on him.

You mean like he did with 💩 or shotgun? Or more Goldy? Ahh, Hutton

You also thought that when I said it about Wahlstrom last year. Apparently you have a thing for one dimensional shooters who play on All Star teams.

What the good doctor is saying is that he has been ranked in the mid first round all year, has been scoring goals all year, and now a bunch of yahoos who have never actually watched him play (until now) think he should go top 5 because of 2 games in a best on best tournament.

For the record, I still haven’t watched him play, I don’t really care who the Canucks pick, I think JB (not the GM) knows what’s up and trust he will make good recommendations.

Boeser is pretty much a one dimensional shooter, though the team is far from all-star quality...

Are you saying he is a bust ? He is 18 years old has played 5 AHL games 2 goals 1 assist. Yup bust.

Your boy Kempe had 12 goals 28 pts this year. I wouldn't get into calling out picks.

It’s probably not a stretch, however, to suggest that Bracket/Benning might like him at 10 if he is still available. You hope they like other guys (the consensus seems to be Boldy), but it could be a dynamic goal scoring winger.

I am one of those yahoos that said I think he will go top 5 . He just scored again 6 goals now plus an assist.

My boy Kempe?

The guy I wanted with our 24th pick in 2014?

I’m going to go eat before I get banned.

Anyone calling Caufield one dimensional?

Yesterday he showed good breakout speed on a breakaway against the Swedes.
Great shot obviously
Pin point passing
Hustle to the net.

I am not campaigning to get him I just think it is nonsense when I see comments on here and on Twitter to keep away from him.

I hope he does, it could start a shift in draft philosophy. I don’t think he will. Most teams are still run by the old school crowd.

I think guys like Debrincat Gaudreau Kane and others are leading the way that GMs will ignore the size . He just scored another one as we speak .

If caufield goes top 8, it means more selection for us at 9. If brackett and company choose caufield at 9, I'll expect they did what they were paid to do and got a good player. If we bypass boldy and say zegras and took caufield, I wont complain, I'll just hope they really did their homework Haha.

I didnt know Atkinson was so small. Guy is 5 foot 8 and got 41 goals this year.

Krebs keeps on being suggested to VAN. Reading some of these bio's there's some real interesting players around the 10 hole. Seider & Broberg seem to be dropping on this list.

If they took a chance on him and it didn't turn out I would not be upset with them for trying.

I'll agree to disagree. I would trade up for him if it didnt mean losing an arm and a leg to get him. Kid is just insane. Having a Hughes type and a byram type dman on the Canucks would be amazing.
- Codes1087

It would solidify a winning future for us. We would certainly be way further ahead with him, he is exactly what we need.

at this point in the canucks "rebuild", if its between going for a massive swing to hit a home run and selecting a wildcard like Caufield, or going to another "safe" pick and select someone like Soderstrom who projects to be a top 4, I am going with the Caufield-like pick any day of the week.

Not really a drop for Seider... We’ve been ranking him higher than consensus on here. He’s my 2nd fav D in the draft because of his ceiling, but would be an unnecessary risk @ 10.

As Canuck fans, we are so used to mediocrity on the back end. I could not imagine having a Werenski/Jones duo. A Burns/Vlasic. A Josi/Ellis. Etc.

A Hughes/Byram back end would be something our franchise hasn't really had, and a huge reason we haven't won. Would be nice.
