Malkin to Islanders and granted a commissioners exemption to play in next round of playoffs for them.

well if Galchenyuk didn't get injured and Kessel did and if Gally wasn't so unlucky and Kessel was then it's a totally valid statement

Dear Ek:

Thanks for your PM, letting me know that I had won the contest for favourite second team. It fills my heart with pride to know how touched you were of my post detailing my love of the California Golden Seals.

I do, however, take umbrage with your suggestion that it was an easy victory, since most of your readership are chumps. While I agree that most of them aren't exactly the kinds of people that you and I would like to have a couple of beers with and talk hockey, I really do think that you should respect your audience a little more. I do appreciate that you dumb down your blogs a lot so that they can understand them.

Anyways, thanks for the kind note, and in answer to your question, I'll take a size medium Hockeybuzz t-shirt.

Please say hi to Buzz for me.

Sincerely,

Atomic Wedgie

That would be fun. Doesn't help their prospect situation, but still fun

if this is true, can see Florida being very interested - join Panarin and Bobrovsky. Florida has lots of high end prospects to add to the table.

Free up cap space - Luongo retires, trade off Reimer or buy him out, Maybe someone like Trocheck or Hoffman goes back in a package.

Malkins cap hit is 9.5 but for only 3 more years.

Sunny Florida, tax free, Russina connection. Barkov/Malkin 1 and 1A

Quenville wants to win as does Tallon.

So you're assuming the following all happens:

- The Panthers sign Panarin AND Bobrovsky
- Luongo retires
- They either find a team that wants Reimer (they won't), they pay him until 2023 to not play for them, or they trade a really good player along with him to get rid of him
- Malkin waives his full NMC to play for the Panthers

That seems highly unlikely

Why does this story sound familiar? Oh that's right EK reported in 2016 I believe it was that Malkin wanted out of Pittsburgh and was potentially being traded to Chicago? I'm definitely taking this with a grain of salt.

Is it possible that Malkin would waive to go play in Nashville with his fellow countryman Alex Ovechkin?

Sorry folks from what I just saw the last week, but Malkin is no longer worth eating 10 million in cap space until he is 36!!

To Toronto: Malkin

To Pittsburgh: Nothing, because every player in the history of TML is better than Gretzky and Orr combined. Malkin should just be happy that they'll allow him to play for the blue and white.
