Just curious- Does anyone think Kadri would have a made a difference tonight ?? Leafs to me at least, have looked find without him these last 2 games. - dozerD10
Yes.
Kadri 3C
Nylander on the wing with Matthews. Matthews had 2 goals with no help tonight.
Imagine someone feeding him passes instead of 50’ wrist shots from the point into Rasks chest killing all momentum. |

While everybody is happy that the Lightning were eliminated in the 1st round, does anybody think the odds for either team are good against the Blue Jackets?
Odds are, the Blue Jackets will lose game 1 of their next series, as teams often do after sitting and waiting so long but after that, does anybody really want to play Columbus right now? - JohnFergusonJr
If it means playing in the 2nd round of the playoffs......then yes! |

I screamed on the 1st Boston goal. Leafs killed a min 45 seconds. Then hyman and kapanen laid up a freebie on the pp. No pressure and let the bruins walk in. You could tell they were thinking defense all the way instead of putting pressure on the shooter.
Leafs just looked confused tonight. Cross between run and gun and trying to play defense and they got caught somewhere in the middle. - bryant
Totally agree, but apparently this was "the best game the Leafs have played in a long time," played with "lots of intensity" and "tons of heart."

As much fun as the reverse jinx joke has been, be serious, the Bruins have sucked in the playoffs against anyone other than the Leafs for the past 5 years.
I'm not sure the Blue Jackets are any easier to beat than the Lightning after what they proved they can do.
They might be that "team of destiny" the NHL seems to have every year now. - JohnFergusonJr
The funny part is the Bruins and Leafs would be the underdogs going into the second round.

Babcock also got outcoached and didn't do anything to help the team, but I'm sure some think he did an incredible job as well.

Boston is good, but not overly impressive. If the Leafs can't put this series away, they deserve what they get. |

I was talking more about a "Canada Cup" series like the World Cup between Canadian provinces.
Ontario would need two teams and would probably win most of the time but it'd be interesting to watch because Canada is probably the only place where a tournament like this could happen and still be among the best hockey games we could watch. |

My 2¢ after watching. 3rd period, down 5-4, pick dumped in against the boards, 1 each from Toronto and Boston digging in the corner. Another Boston player starts digging as well, and AM comes in and.... Watches. No poking for possession, no trying to muscle a Boston player off the puck. Just waits. Ugh!
Then, goalie pulled, Leafs with possession going to the Boston zone. The brilliant idea? Dump and chase. Boston will grind that puck into the boards, eating precious time all night. What were they thinking?
Listen, there's a rivalry between our teams, but there's some respect for Toronto. But Boston? Say it with me, it's your new motto..., "BUCK FOSTON!". Kick their assess, please! |

Toronto ABSOLUTELY needed to win game 4. Bruins top guys woke up too so...it's gonna be seeing a black and gold B in a circle in your nightmares for yet another year Leaf fans. Always effing motherf****** Boston. I stopped being able to watch the inevitable happen with the Leafs. I'm 51 and a lifelong Leaf fan and already the Golden Knights fans have seen and experienced more you then I HAVE. FKSAKES. |

What would have won the game for the Leafs is if the team lied and said "hey Conner Brown, we play tomorrow night, not tonight." No need to come to the rink today buddy. Especially between 7 and 10pm. Also, we need you to see the team doctor tomorrow and supply DNA. We have it on good authority that you've somehow morphed into Jim Korn. Well, at least your hands have |

Playoff game at home with a chance to go up 3-1 and you lay an egg for the first 5 mins or so? Unacceptable |

Oh man when there was a chance that Boston could blow a three goal lead with ten minutes left I was promising the hockey gods I would suck a Richard. A bunch of Richards.
Good game, good series. It's gotta go seven, right? That just seems like inevitability at this point.

was plenty of those poop-the-bed-first-5-mins-games in the reg season too, but for some weird reason most disagreed with me when I called it a coaching staff and locker room problem... |

In 5 more years Chara, Krejci, Bergeron and Marchand should all be retired, so we may have a shot then.
Bergeron only played 14.5 mins last night. Matthew's 21.5 and Snakes 20.
I was told we'd win if they played more |

Leafs cant seem to win 2 games in a row when it matters.
If they dont win game 5, its probably done.

Well, it's no wonder: I think I read like 3 articles yesterday all talking about how JT's line has erased Bergeron's line; how they need to move Pasta to the 3rd line; blah blah blah.
If you don't think the players read their own press... |

I know he has been frustrating, but that speed still keep dmen honest. Also he hits and it is still his first full season. I think it would be good if they can find a way to keep him. The 2nd rounder or whatever won't be worth it.
We can't afford him at 4 mil |
