Um, that's what good teams do. Beat the teams you're supposed to and go .500 against the good teams and you'll usually find yourself at the top of the standings.

That being said, of all the teams you named they only had a winning record against LA, but so did everyone.

They also went 3-0 against Colorado and had a .500 record or better against everyone left except Dallas and St. Louis.

There’s no reason to call Backlund on that play ...you put the whistle away all game and then decide to call that

But the pk is terrible ...they let the Avs set up and back off every pk

I have no problem with the effort for the most part. By no means perfect and there's certainly room for improvement, but this has been a good game.
