Throw the Devils on that list.
My buddy paid to meet Uncle Daddy last week to get a picture signed. Said he was a nice guy. - Fenrir
Im talking about playoff teams this year. I have a much longer list if we are just talking never |

I cant stand Thornton. Its really the only reason - mdw7413
I was a big fan pre like 2007 of his, but yeah he's really wore thin on me too. Plus, we have to deal with the Thornton to Rangers rumors seemingly on an annual basis. |

Burns is awesome, probably one of my favorites outside of the Rangers. I just can't get past Thornton |

Don't worry, Toronto isn't getting past Boston. Don't have to worry about me voting for the fishsticks. - 2sticks1puck
By no means am I saying I want to see Toronto win. I'd rather see any other Canadian team win ahead of them. But, the passion you guys on here show for the game is something close to what the average Canadian hockey fan exhibits. A large majority of them deserve to see their team win a Cup sometime soon. That, and my nationality bias are why I'd like to see a (western) Canadian team win. Calgary or the Jets at the top of that list. |

Crazy to think that guy is 34 and seemingly not only declining, but getting better. The Sharks are really screwed if he declines. People know how good he is, but I'm not sure people fully grasp he's putting up 1st ballot HOF type numbers. |

The teams are so mixed up with players from so many countries it doesn't matter to me if a Canadian team wins. Hell if the Rangers ever win a cup we might have to sing the Russian national anthem |

you know, we always joke about me hating Hamrlik, and the real reason for that is that I believe Hamrlik directly cost Torts his job here.
I still think it was crazy to fire him after they had just beat Washington in that 7 game series and then they lost to Boston without Staal and Stralman got hurt mid series and he was forced to put that bastard in because he had no other choice.
I am happy to see him finally settled down and doing so well, really seem like Columbus is the perfect city for him. |

I was not too happy with that firing. I recall being frustrated with the Team and Torts but I am not sure that was the right move. It sure looked like the right call after his lack of success in Vancouver. |

I don't doubt that. As i broke it down in the other thread, about half the teams I would be cool with winning. It's just always funny to watch the Canadian media lose their stuff that none of the teams are winning. I hate like half the league, so I might not be the best example to use. Short of Toronto and Montreal, I would take any Canadian team winning vs having to see the Wings raise another banner. |

What's got a better chance that or the rebuilding Rangers trading a valuable asset like Chris Kreider at the draft? - eichiefs9
With Kakko and the Russians coming...Kreider is more important than ever |

I think it was the right call because the team tuned Torts out, doesn't matter if Torts was right or wrong, you lose the team coach has to go.
I also thought the whole 6 goalies, everyone blocking shots was kind of boring. I get Torts was doing the best he could with the lack of talent, but it was still boring as (frank) to watch after awhile |

I'm a fan of Torts and I still think it was the right move. Torts like Keenan, has a short shelf life before the team tunes him out. Maybe they had 1 more really good year in them, but I think it all would have ended badly. For a couple seasons, AV's system was almost a perfect fit for us. I can only imagine what kind of damage it could have done if AV ever had a sniper the quality of Gabroik on this team. Though I guess it's fair to say we never win the East without being able to take advantage of massive mismatches uses Zucc and Brass on the third line. |
