Montreal will be in on a key free agent forward or two this summer to help make up from falling just short of the postseason in the East despite their 96 points earned.
Those rumored among their targets if becoming available are Duchene, Lee, Eberle, Skinner, and Kevin Hayes. Panarin and Pavelski are among two others of their interest, but not likely to have the desire to relocate there if moving on elsewhere.

But can they become defensemen?

Anyone think TOR regrets signing Nylander instead of trading him? I’ve watched 3 out of the 4 games so far and he’s not noticeable out there. It’s not a terrible contract and will likely be worth it in a few years, just not sure they wouldn’t be better off if they traded him.

3rd or the postseason. Announcer just said he’s growing his reputation, they love him here. Hopefully they love him enough to sign him in the offseason and give us their 2020 1st

Hopefully they make it to the conference finals 1st

I can't imagine anywhere Zuke would be disliked. He is just that type of player

If I’m picking between the 2 though, I want the 2020 1st. I could see DAL missing the playoffs next year. Also, if they make it to the conference finals I don’t see them signing him knowing it’s basically for 2 1sts.

I think there would be a good chance of them re-signing for the fact he is playing so well for them. Why wouldn't they want to keep someone like that?
I also think Dallas would have no problem making the playoffs again next year so they probably wouldn't care to much about later 1sts
