First team in NHL history to win the Presidents Trophy and be swept in the first round, did not see that coming. They were just being outworked by a team that wanted it more, or, understood, somehow, what it was gonna take to get it done.

I picked the Islanders to beat the Pens in my bracket though

I picked VGK CBJ and Blues as my upsets

Still think repeat of last years final and Caps repeat. I would not be surprised to see CBJ go out early now next round.

Tampa looked totally overwhelmed from the 2nd period of the 1st game. The players looked completely shell-shocked on the bench when Columbus was up 2-0 5 minutes into the 1st. A team of halflings.

They just couldn’t skill their way through Columbus’s will, BJ’s are skilled as well but they wanted it more and they had much bigger bodies.

Last night they showed Panarin winning a one on three puck battle, you just can’t win like that. Lightning will learn from this I’m sure.

Also, Tampa is still a fairly young team, their window is still wide open.

Blue Jackets will play Toronto or Boston so they’ve got a good chance in the second round as well.

Caps, should they move on, which I think they will, will play Trots and his Islanders. Some good storylines.

Would love to get Tyler Johnson from Tampa and put him on the RW with Horvat and Pearson. A fast skilled guy with two big bodies who are also talented. Johnson’s skill/speed would help both puck possession and retrieval.

lol I might be off to my worst 1st round predictions in history. SJ, PIT TBAY, CGY hell TO might even beat BOS.

Go Jets!

Ya, I’m in the same boat. Had Tampa winning in 5 of my 7 brackets

In my work pool I had TBAY vs WPG in the final lol

Done.

Now we have a bunch of jack-asses here at work walking around saying 'I told you CLB would sweep TBAY in the first round'...

Certainly feels that way. Who would've thought that of Winnipeg, Pittsburgh, Tampa the jets were the only ones to rally after being down 2-0

I suspect Tampa Bay casualties to fit in Point are.....Callahan, Johnson and either Gourde or Miller.

I'd be all over Miller myself. Johnson seems like a shoot first kind of player and that wont work well with Horvat.

Miller would look good with Pete and Boeser

Pretty good content here...interesting he has Newhook at 9. I’m still leaning towards Boldy. Wish we had stayed at 9 so we would be assured he is available

Good chance? There's obviously a chance, but good? What kind of odds would you give?

Who came up with Minivan and Tiny Jump as handles? I laugh every time someone uses them.
