Concussion. He's had like 3 this year. Which is why he thinks he's worth 6 million.

With Rask, it definitely seemed like the Bruins totally ignored the concussion protocol.. Unless, he was faking?

Bruins players have shown Pacioretty-like powers of recuperation.

not picking on you... but why is everyone given the kid the business... he stepped up, which was ill advised and lost a fight...

karma's a female dog... and last time I checked Canes won the game in a walk

so Ovi can act all tough and whatever, he's got a checkered history of cheap shots and hits from behind...

so .. .he beat up a kid he outweighs by what 40lbs?

- BorjeFan4Ever
I'm not knocking him at all...I'm just saying I'm surprised he did step up. I do agree though, that it wasn't the smartest thing to do

Ref: Tuukka are you hurt?
Rask: Depends, is Tavares getting a penalty?
Ref: No.
Rask: I'm good..

Yes, and no one to this point has answered why Muzzin keeps putting is head where Pastrnak is jumping up with his shoulder.
- floater_willy

definitely... but I still think Tavares should be more ashamed.

on the other hand, Bruins must have one hell of a cosmetic surgeon... .and make up artist...

I couldn't tell that Debrusk was that close to death... you couldn't see the scar or anything.

What a "trooper" that kid is ... I mean.. how do you get hit that hard in the face, fall that hard on your knees and still get up and play a couple of days later.

doctors must be good

VERY VERY good.

I think it's pretty well known at this point that Rask is a creature from a planet far far away in another galaxy unknown to us all.

Just look at him.

Raised on Robbery by Joni Mitchell:

He was sitting in the lounge of the Empire Hotel
He was drinking for diversion
He was thinking for himself
A little money riding on the Maple Leafs
Along comes a lady in lacy sleeves
She says let me sit down
You know, drinkin' alone's a shame (It's a shame it's a crying shame)
Look at those jokers
Glued to that damn hockey game
Hey honey-you've got lots of cash
Bring us round a bottle
And we'll have some laughs
Gin's what I'm drinking
I was raised on robbery

It's in the training camp pamphlet they hand out. True story

They even role play it. Marchand is usually the lead.

Ovi says that the kid challenged him.

Brind'Amour disagrees.

If the former is true, I think the kid is stupid to challenge a guy 40 lbs. heavier than you to fight. You aren't going to win that.

If Hollywood has taught me anything, it's that 101lb waifs can scissor kick 300lb muscle men to death with ease. So I think Svech got a little unlucky.

Rask must really dislike McAvoy. That's twice this year and maybe more he has driven a player into him causing him to get hurt.

I really hate that McAvoy player, a face you want to punch for sure lol.

Svechnikov should know better than taking on a guy that outweights him by 40lbs of muscle.

Then again, he's always been a pretty big kid in junior so maybe he just needed to learn it the hard way.

I'll probably get told to delete my account by a Willie lover, but I think he gets traded in the off-season. I think it was closer to happening this year than we know. You can get some decent defensive help for 6.9, or two really good third liners

I watched the replay of the few moments prior to the fight. Ovi fed him at least two butt ends.... so I'm thinking Ovi, despite his best broken english denials... was baiting the kid

Broons didn't play the same game. Not sure what happened to them. Maybe not having Kadri is a blessing.

Great win for Toronto. Let's see what Broons do to respond.

As we all know from religiously reading James Tanner, the NHL playoffs is more about luck than skill.

So your explanation makes sense, but I'd still like to see Ovi's Buccannan Punchosity Ratings.
