Let's fire the GM that brought in Tavares and Muzzin. Brilliant.
- RogerRoeper

The goal song sucks.

They switched to a cheaper seaweed wrap for the sushi.

Duke the Dog has been on the Marlies for decades, and has yet to make the jump to the big club, indicating their mascot development program is poop.

Do I need to say more?

he's too slow and goes down to easily.

after all the punishment he's dished out, i don't make seeing the leafs giving him the business.

- Tumbleweed

Don't get me wrong, I love the fact we are hitting him. I hope they keep it up all day long.

But that one clip is scary - it's pretty close to a spinal cord injury.

I'm not sayin'...

I'm just sayin'....

I love Hall and Oates.

But they are clearly identified with Philly.

It's a bad song for the Leafs to use.

I love the fact we are hitting him, but man O man, that could have been really, really bad. It's scary to watch how his head/neck goes into the boards at a bad angle.

Bloody hell, what is it troll auditions or what?!?! Lot of crap to wade through and this after a win???

C'mon guys we should be happy with what happened last night and hopefully will continue next game to get us a commanding lead in the series before going back to Boston!

Who cares about the offseason right now?!

- Roadrunner75

no kidding... the local media all in a blather about Kadri being stupid in the last 5 minutes of game 2... guess what folks there was 55 minutes before that - that the genius anal - ysts could have talked about. All Kadri all the time.

even before game 3 ended - offer sheets

and now everything's okay because they won game 3?

here's a couple of suggestions for the media doinks to ponder - and perhaps cover:

1) if Gary Bettman doesn't get involved in on-ice issues - why was he in Toronto for the game last night? surely it couldn't have been for the NBC broadcast or fan adoration ... maybe he was there to discuss the putrid officiating in Game 2 with Shanahan? just a thought (media you should try and get one of these)

2) did the on ice officials talk to the teams prior to Game 3 last night? if so - why was that necesary? was it necessary because they sensed things getting a "little heated" or was it because the previous game was a total shyte show where the outcome was materially impacted by the lack of officiating? (aparently knowledgeable commentators say that "you shouldn't notice the officials"

3) is Zaitsev better because he's playing with Muzzin or is it more of a factor that he isn't playing with the human give away machine that is Jake Gardiner? (inquiring minds want to know)

4) what kind of medication mix-up was/is responsible for Don Cherry losing what was left of his mind after Game 2 and then again during Game 3? should Ron be held responsible? (I think so)

5) How come Ron McLean (of the endless defense of fair play and officials at all times ever know to man kind) forgot or overlooked reviewing the impact of the officials behavior in Game 2? why was that Ron? are you selling out to Jerry Buttman as well?

6) What to make of Simmons saying the Leafs have to get rid of Kadri? Me... I'm thinking if Simmons says that, the Leafs should definitely hang on to Kadri

7) What to make of Brian Lewis (former head of NHL officials) going completely out of character and saying the officiating in Game 2 was crap? I mean could he possibly be correct?

8) What to make of Kerry Fraser criticizing the Game 2 officiating? Okay... we'll disgard that because is Kerry Fraser and he's a well known gutless weiner - who feels for some reason he has to pander to the fan base NOW

9) What to make of Kypreos, should he be made an assistant GM quickly - after his analysis that Marner should be traded?

yes, so many many things to talk about.

sorry forgot to add...

10) why didn't Travis Dermott get his head out of the way of Debrusk's errant elbow? I mean seriously, what was he thinking?

11) what to make of John Tavares? He needs to get that playoff beard going to cover up the scrapes, cuts and bangs that the Bruins are accidentally laying on him... seriously buddy, what if one of them inadvertently cuts you and it leads to a penalty against the Bruins? that's borderline embelishment.....

damn Leafs, they should stop play like that

What?

I had nothing. He pigged out on all the salient points. There wasn't even any scraps for me to comment on. Matthews got two points, so I can't even harass Gull about it.

Except, still 0 5v5 points. Hmmm, maybe I can work with that.

I absolutely love how Hyman has developed. He's strong, fast, and has been working to shake the lead off of his hands. He is absolutely unafraid to get into dirty areas, and come out with the puck. I can't think of a leafs player who has had that kind of success against Chara. Mind you Chara is not what he once was, but he is still a big strong body, and remarkably good with his stick. Those fights for the puck along the boards negate the weakness of his foot speed, and is where his strength lies, so to have a player who can mingle with him a bit, and come out with the puck from time to time is huge..
A+ to Trevor Moore, that kid has so much heart.

Same to Ennis. He has been good down low with the puck all year. There is a lot of hate for him on here, but if had been given a chance at 82 games, he would have had 20 goals.. Isn't that what you want from your 4th line?

Tavares is a beast.

How many times did Kapanen have a successful rush down the wing? Why is there never a support coming up the middle for him to pass the puck to?

Mathews and Nylander just need to get into the series physically...

Anyways, good game, much better officiating. Wednesday night will be a good one.

I figured it was better than MiB's wet milktoast blather.

I am pissed off with Dermott however, he should know better than to try and hit Debrusk's elbow with his face.

Surely we can pick something with a Toronto angle to it.

Maybe something from Rush.

Or BNL

Or If I Had a Rocket Launcher by Bruce Cockburn. That would be waaaaaaaaay cool.

Tyler Ennis is listed at 5' 9", 161 lbs.

Which means he's probably 5-10 lbs. lighter.

It's a miracle that guy hasn't died on the ice.
