Yup. poop hurt so much I was running around and jumping trying to "put the fire out". I was apparently jumping 5ish feet in the air. Pain/adrenaline took over.

Burns are weird. I scorched the outside of my hand a few years ago. Had to hold it in lukewarm water and it felt fine but pulsed like crazy. Take it out? Felt like it was (frank)ing blazing hot again.

I didn't have lingering pain with mine. It killed the nerves. My skin was peeling off and I felt nothing after a few minutes.

For me the worst was having to put out our base bath. It's basically a bath to clean glassware that's 20L of pure ethanol and caustic base in it. The flames hit the (frank)ing ceiling


Every piece of lab equipment in our lab was named after characters/happenings on the Simpsons, so that bath became known as "Flaming Moe" and had this sign put on it:

Oh yeah. He was foolish and amped up on adrenaline. But Ovie has balked at every (frank)ing fight in almost a decade until this one. If he was a guy who constantly stepped up I'd be good with it.

I don't have anything against it. It was entirely on Svechnikov. He was the aggressor.

The outcome is obviously unfortunately, and not what OV himself would have wanted, but it's on the rookie, imo.
