I noticed CBC/Sportsnet has been particularly really bad with camera work in the offensive zone during a powerplay. They want to show that net-front so bad that whenever the puck kicks out to the point they almost never get the defenseman in frame. - markmark
It's the (frank)ing worst.
It's great that you have a camera there, but you don't have to (frank)ing use it |
|
|
|
It's (frank)ing awful. Whenever the puck is dumped in, they change to the corner of the rink camera, and then you can't see what's happening in the play at all.
They should literally never change from the main centre ice camera unless the guy operating it is having a seizure and isn't showing the game.
The other cameras should be strictly for replays. - GreatGigInTheSky
nope.
puck battles in the corners (when puck is stuck between boards and a bunch of players) it makes sense to switch to the low cameras.
btw, it would be time to add some camera angles for the playoffs (for replays mainly) - for example a full overhead ('helicopter view') camera for specific plays. |

When I first saw the contract, I suspected that was the case.
But he's so close to being the all-time games leader, I can see him wanting to hang on for a few more years.
A stalky yet interesting question would be whether or not he sold his house in California. - Atomic Wedgie

I was watching one of the games last night (can't remember which one) and one team had a PP. They switched to a camera high behind the net. Good idea in theory, but the camera was too high up. And best of all, the camera operator didn't account for the score and time on PP that was superimposed on the top of the screen, so whenever he puck went back to the point, you couldn't see who had it.
Fial. - Atomic Wedgie
I hate them so much. It's easily my biggest pet peeve in hockey.
Just show me what's happening in the game! |

The Bruins have way too much experience in games like this. They are going to come out hard tonight and I just don't think the Leafs will be able to keep up with them physically. Sorry boys, Boston is winning tonight for sure. |

Meh.
I can go with an odyssey #2 for the rest of my days. Putting is in the hands and the head. |

I think something is for sure worked out. Maybe he gets by the payment, and gets traded back to San Jose with retention too? I don't know, but I still think he's gone by game 1.
Or spends some time on the IR which gives cap space back to the Leafs. |

I honestly think my putting would not be worse if I went to a mini-golf blade putter.
I think I am going to buy a Leafs putter. |

Sidney Crosby one assist and a -4 in the series.
Chris Letang one assist -3
Guentzel one goal and a -3
Yeah clearly they out played us. Another spot on post😂 - Cptmjl
no one can seriously state the Penguns out played the Isles... I missed a bunch of Game 2... but otherwise, that the Isles looked way more "solid" , no risks and way better forecheck pressure...
but what do I know... I can't understand the fancy stats and I don't know that Jim Corsi dude
nice win! |

And yet I don't care about seeing close ups of players stupid faces while they fight for a puck. I'll gladly take the main camera so I can see how the entire play on the ice is developing. |

I think the Leafs come out just as hard. I think Marchand does something stupid. I think Babcock plays the matchup game all night, and Tavares gets the better of Bergeron, yet again, which makes the Bruins one line pretty ineffective. |

there is no incredible development of the entire play if there are 4 guys battling in the corner with the puck there.. that's the whole point. |
