And if the flames come to life you better figure out how to score 6-8 goals

I can play that game too lol

That's not the point though. Homeboy is acting like thats all the Avs could muster. I simply stated that he is mistaken. I know Calgary is dangerous. I even stated so earlier. Rose colored goggles.

If it does turn into a high scoring game, I'll take the Flames. They are the higher scoring team all season and have more weapons. Avs are playing much closer to their potential right now.... if the Flames can't figure out how to match the effort/intensity, they might be in trouble.

I can agree with that. The whole world knows the Avs big 3 are accountable for pretty much half of the Avs scoring. CGY has 3 lines that are all capable of carrying a game. Goaltending has a large role as well. Two decently hot goalies standing on their heads. Game 2 could just as easily gone to CGY 10 seconds prior to MacK scoring.

Only if Smith takes a duece in the crease tonight.
He has been outstanding in the 1st 2 games.

Flames are going to need to be willing to disrupt things tonight - the X factor for the Avs last game was definitely Zadorov's physical play and there was little in the way of pushback. Greasy crease battles are in store for tonight's game.

Breathe kids...

The Avs played (IMO) their best game and we still managed to go to OT. Unless you've not seen them play this year, the Flames have played far below their potential and capability to this point. Anyone who expected the Flames to blow out the Av's and have an easy go simply doesn't understand playoff hockey or the game. I think the Av's underachieved this year and are a damn good team, that and, well playoffs.

No one expected the Flames to have the regular season success they did. Playoffs, outside a few players are new to this crew. If the team hasn't figured out what it takes by now, well, we won't see round 2. Tonight's game should see a much better effort...

Unclench your sphincters all, its playoff hockey!

Oh and Go Flames Go!

You clearly haven’t watched the Avs play this year if you think that was their best game

That is the point. The Avs came out in full desperation mode with 100% effort from the first puck drop and played that way most of the game. The Avs aren't going to get any better. The Flames played two mediocre games and were 3 minutes away from being up 2-0.

Once the Flames wake up, Colorado is done. Getting away from the Saddledome is probably a good thing for them.

If that wasn't one of the Avs best games, they wouldn't have had to sneak into the playoffs.

Maybe they can play better if MacKinnon can man up and hit 30 minutes.
