This poop Dubas is doing, building the Disney Princess Maple Leafs, is almost paramount to treason.
He’s basically saying, “(frank) 120 years of hockey, I know what I’m doing and we’re going to be ahead of the curve and be all skill”
That Sparks signing too, then doubling down after a poopty year. - Arctic_AARDVARK

But he's gonna be a PPG. You just said.
Nylander has been rumored to be traded for every d man in the NHL from Sanheim to Tanev to Faulk to Hamilton to Seabrook to Montour to Parayko to Pesce.
I wouldn't worry about the rumours - walshyleafsfan
I did but I never said he's PPG now. He has not proven himself. Trading a blue chip 22 year-old is a Chiarelli move. |

I also desperately hope marleau gets an equipment allergy this summer. Im not really adverse to kadri getting traded now either. The cap space would be real nice. |

Avery is an idiot but some of what he says is true.
Debrusk got his stick and gloves up in kadris face earlier, no call. And the knee on knee. I would have preferred kadri go with some less obvious dirty plays, and if he was going to do that to debrusk, land it, and as avery says, take debrusk out of the series by knocking a portion of his face off. 4 or 5 teeth, i wouldnt have cared.
But matthews cant go out and fight. If anything, i would suggest he do something a little more discreet. Like "clear" the puck from the zone with his incredibly accurate shot, right into the bruins bench at about head level.
I still think the leafs win this series. But nylander and matthews have to wake up. Lets remember we are split games coming back to toronto. - prock
Yeah. If history repeats itself we should have 2 cleanish games in Toronto so that should help. Any sign of Boston being physical again and we're in trouble |

It doesn’t matter what lead up to Kadri’s crosscheck on DeBrusk, Kadri’s actions were (frank)ing stupid, selfish and have put the team in a poopty situation at a critical point in the game, series and season... AGAIN.
Boston knew that Kadri would be the most likely to snap if they chipped at him and they were exactly right. They goaded Naz and got the EXACT result they were hoping for. That part of their their game was executed perfectly.
You don’t win with that level of stupidity, selfishness, predictability and liability. You just don’t.
The bottom line, it’s time for Kadri to be traded. - As_I_See_It
The good news is torey krug is likely out too.

Trade him for a #4 D and enjoy watching him go PPg with another team. - RogerRoeper
Why would you trade him for a #4, when he’s only worth a #2?
I’m taking a #2 right now, and it looks a lot like Willie.

The tough thing about trading Kadri is it's not that exciting of a cap savings. he's a great deal. |

But I am sure a lot of people know this about Kadri. |

Someone should show Kyle all the Cups the Lightning have won.
The idea that physicality doesn't mean much in the playoffs is frankly mind boggling |

4.5 mil is a decent chunk to spend on defense. And if its for picks those are always nice. |

I don’t agree with a lot of what he says either.

Meh, different opinions is what keeps humanity sane. - Santo_44
Bruins goaded the Leafs into playing their game instead of their own. It's what they always do and it works. Even the fans are getting goaded into it. People don't see the difference between intensity and physicality. Intensity/effort wins games, IMO whether it be playing hard or fast. The Leafs intensity and skating and all around effort level in game one was (frank)ing dope to watch. Bruins didn't let the Leafs do that again. Their intensity was applied differently, but equally as effective. |

Trust me, after last night there will be less physicality and more penalties called. Leafs have Matthews and Tavares at C. - RogerRoeper

I have two very close friends from London around Naz’s age. They also tell stories of clubbing and blow etc.
My point is, who the (frank) cares? He doesn’t have to behave, he was a popular young man being a dumbass like everyone else. I don’t doubt that he’s done stupid poop, I’ve done dumb poop and so have you. None of it has anything to do with his game. Nylander is the one who needs to be traded. Can’t build a winning culture if all your stars want to be pussies. |

There is a good point in there.
It wasn't just the physicality, it was the intensity the Bruins brought to the game. Leafs were nowhere near matching it, except Kadri, who made the idiot play, again. |

It’s utterly stupid.
This is what the world is becoming. Everyone has their own version of facts and somehow the NHL playoffs has done a compete 180 and physically doesn’t matter. Just watch the games, the team pushing the physical play controls the momentum. |
