Look at PIT/VGK/WSH/NSH/STL... these teams have a history of going far in the playoffs. They all have leaders who will mix it up. Matthews and Nylander won’t. It honestly (frank)ing embarrassing watching them get dog walked like they do. This is the highest skilled Leafs team I’ve ever seen, but it is wayyyy too soft. I like what Muzzin and Kadri bring, but they need more fire from Matthews and everyone else, Marner, Tavares, Kappy.. they all need to get a bloody nose. They need to win this for Kadri.

I happen to know from personal situations that Kadri is an idiot.

He’s a fantastic player but he’s got to keep his real personality off the ice. He struggles with that.

Avery is an idiot but some of what he says is true.

Debrusk got his stick and gloves up in kadris face earlier, no call. And the knee on knee. I would have preferred kadri go with some less obvious dirty plays, and if he was going to do that to debrusk, land it, and as avery says, take debrusk out of the series by knocking a portion of his face off. 4 or 5 teeth, i wouldnt have cared.

But matthews cant go out and fight. If anything, i would suggest he do something a little more discreet. Like "clear" the puck from the zone with his incredibly accurate shot, right into the bruins bench at about head level.

I still think the leafs win this series. But nylander and matthews have to wake up. Lets remember we are split games coming back to toronto.

That's because it's the way that Boston play. If the Leafs can get a mantra that that's the way the Leafs play, we'd get away with more. We'd be a strong physical team that plays on the edge.
