I’m just happy we have Nylander and not DeBrusk.
We don’t need to be mean, it’s 2019. And if you gift the Bruins a goal, that’s okay too. But never annoy your opponent into getting suspended, that’s bad. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Game one Debrusk didn’t do anything except get his tooth knocked out and trip marner on a breakaway.
Nylander scored the 3rd goal to put them away.
Don’t have such a short memory. |

CBJ with clean, hard hits
Pastrnak a blatant charging headshot and a knee on knee by Debrusk.
The physical game isn't the problem. The problem is that the league does not protect the players from cheapshots against certain teams. - Aetherial
Yep, time to start calling those elbows too.

15. Josh Jooris (C/RW) 74 8 7 15 (6'1 and a waivers level player)
Are you high? - AdamFrench
Yeah I was wondering who was big on the Marlies. The only players I would trust in this series would've been Grundstrom and Marchment (instead of the impending Ennis) |

Once a team gets physical with them, theyre knocked off their game - Fakepartofme
yeah too many players on the team start to play very small.

Marchment is average in the AHL he’s not going to be good in the NHL just because he’s big. |

1 game after all the abuse he took, Debrusk is 1 hell Of an actor. He’s got a career after hockey’s over - Garnie
I don’t think they give in person hearings for someone looking at 1 game. |

Yep. It's textbook. I'd think a very soft call to start the game too. - david22
I don't really care how it is called.
Just be fair on both sides. Bruins got away with some really dirty, intent to injure kind of poop yesterday and Kadri is going to be gone for the series because someone finally HAD to stand up to what was going on. |

It's ironic everyone is talking about Bruins physicality, yet they are the ones with the injuries. Not sure if that will work in a long series.

And as I've said, we've known this since 2013. That's 6 years. So what are we to do? Cry and complain? Or do something? Because we've certainly not done anything.
We know the Bruins are physical. We know the Leafs can't play against physicality. That's a recipe for disaster. I'd guess only Muzzin, Hyman, Kadri and Rielly didn't have skid marks in their pants last night.
How many more years are we going to go this route? We're probably going to play Boston in the playoffs for the next 2 or 3 years after this. What do we do? |

I've pointed this out for months, Marleau is useless. He's a 4th line winger at this point the coach is playing far too much. |

Agreed. I don't think he'll be an NHLer. However, I'm willing to bet that he would have more of an impact in this series than Ennis.
There's so much more to hockey than actually the hockey part for a role player. So many Leafs fans are concerned with the skills part. In this series, the skills part won't carry us through. |

Nylander goal didn’t “put them away” it was the 3rd goal in a 4-1 game.
What your excuse for Nylanders gift lastnight? *crickets*
DeBrusk got the entire Leafs rattled and Kadri suspended. Nylander is doing his fly-by and best ghost impersonations.
Insane how you ppl still defend Nylanders play. It’s a (frank)ing disease with you guys. |

Honestly, nothing.
Look what happens when we play their way.
Out of all the dirty poop that happened last night, there will be 1 suspension. What is the most playoff games suspended at one time. Will Kadri set that record.
Somehow, Boston got away with Literally everything last night.

No he’s (frank)ing not.
It’s the playoffs. Physicality matters. Who’s gonna stop those (frank)heads from running around every game?!? No one because Kadri is gone. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the Leafs don’t respond well when they’re being pushed around. |

I’m sure he has another gear, but he’s been invisible this far in the playoffs. Same with Matthews, Kap, Johnsson. Nylander has been visible for some wrong reasons, to go with some pretty good play in game 1 really. Muzzin Zaitsev were horrible last night. Outstanding game 1 though. It’s a long series, Go Leafs. |

Kadri should get a minimum of 6 games for his cheap shot on DeBrusk coupled with his history of suspensions for head shots. |

That's because it's the way that Boston play. If the Leafs can get a mantra that that's the way the Leafs play, we'd get away with more. We'd be a strong physical team that plays on the edge.
At the moment, we're a soft as poop team with one nutter |
