Read what I said ffs.
Marchand does a lot of stuff that’s barely crossing the line. Is he a dirty player? Absolutely.
But he’s very good at barely crossing the line...but it doesn’t make it a clean play. - Santo_44
Marchand is a giant piece of poop who licked players, it doesnt get much lower in terms of class than that |

Bruce Cassidy says the knee on knee hit his guy dished out was a shoulder on shoulder. I guess the refs where just as confused about the human anatomy. - Kayakjack
It's one thing to have a terrible opinion but to say something that (frank)ing stupid when there's literal video evidence, is a really impressive kind of stupid. |

The leafs have to play their game, they won when they played it. Last night they didn't play their game.
And the league most certainly has to fix the reffing, what joke. They have zero consistency. They say no headshots and then allow blatant elbows to the head and crosschecks to the face, until this happens then It's not ok. - burn
They don't seem to be able to do that in the face of physicality. It is something that opposing fans have long said our biggest weakness is |

And the Bruins couldn’t be physical when the Leafs were on their game using their speed and for checking.
It goes both ways, the Leafs have to find a way to exploit the Bruins weaknesses like they did in game 1. Losing Krug and cliffton makes their D worse. Take advantage of this. Chara will have to step up. |

Horrible in game 2, not just the giveaway - obie
But his Corsi was great, who cares about the giveaways that ended up as 2 on 1’s
He’s an idiot too
The end. |

If we're being honest, I think we can all agree the Bruins didn't quite play their normal way game 1.
I've never seen the Leafs team know what to do when the opponent plays physically.
Anywho, we'll see tomorrow night of they have he ability to adjust. |

The boys will be fine .. got out injury free for the most part. Just wasnt their night. Yeah Refs blew.
Leafs didn’t help themselves with decisions and like I said I didn’t see 1 stretch pass all night. Maybe there were I just don’t recall any.
Use the speed advantages they have and make quicker and smarter decisions with the puck in the D zone and they’ll be fine.
I’m sure after game 2, tomorrow will be called much tighter. Classic overreacting by the refs. - dozerD10
Only one I remember was when the Leafs were shorthanded. There was a lead pass up to Marner. |

Muffin didn’t play great and the refs were pretty stinky, that pretty much ended game 2
Edit: and Melander sucked but added to his Corsi stock.
We’ll get em at home.

How's game 3 looking? - GreatGigInTheSky
terrible, the bruins are far too physical and skilled. marchand is a beast and will not be stopped game 3, same with rask, bergeron, and pastrnak. leafs have no chance of winning. non!

I hate max, but after last night, I'm with him on nylander. Last night I saw pastrnak throwing hits. Nylander to his credit did game 1. But last night, he cost his team the game.
To his credit, he did predict marner s rapid rise as a leafs star player.
It sucks losing the only player who seemed to understand this is the playoffs....kadri is a playoff warrior who unfortunately at times makes stupid stupid decisions. He should have dropped his gloves...hr would have kicked debrusks add and sent a louder message. Now he's done for the series and unless Matthews shows up..we are (frank)ed. |
|
|
|
That was a masterpiece of officiating last night.
I'm not usually this guy, but I'm willing to bet Debrusk gets no supplemental discipline for trying to take Kadri's knee out. It really seemed like one team had a longer leash last night. Not just in the Leaf game either. The Capitals were given more freedom than the Hurricanes. - BetterCallSaul
Yeah the call on Ferland was brutal , 5 and a game for a hit to the chest and Ovie gets two for a head shot. |

Bruins played like the Leafs in game 1. Bunch of softies. Realized they made a mistake and starting playing physical. Leafs got scared like usual and wanted nothing to do with skating at pace against the Bruins D.
The Bruins will probably turn it up even higher I'd imagine knowing that Hyman, Muzzin and possibly Rielly have a set of balls. (Marner gets a pass because he deserves it). Hyman, Kadri and Rielly are usually the only 3 players I ever see sticking up for a teammate.
Same issue that Tampa seem to be facing. |

Yeah he did great hit. I'm not a huge Muzzin fan, but I'd take 3 Muzzins and 3 Riellys all day in the playoffs. Some players get it (the playoffs). Others don't. We seem to have quite a few that don't. |
