Kadri is probably gone for this series - was a stupid hit. That said, Nylander might have been the least effective leaf foward yesterday. He was outstanding in game one. Needs to grow a pair of balls and fight for the puck. There was significant acting by Debrusk - didn't miss a shift. He's a lowlife. Bruins instead of fielding a top six could field two complete low life lines, maybe three. - winsix
I like Nylander at C more than RW.
He’s much more engaged. I am confident he steps his game up in game 3. |

Well... if I may! DeBrusk knew what he was doing, fully aware of where the play was and tried to smash Marleau's face into the divider, Kadri lost his sh!t, as he's been known too do and retaliated with a high cross check.... this sh!t tends to happen when refs let blatant calls go in the spirit of playoff hockey, players end up in a game of "can you top this", gets out of hand real fast! |

The refs let this one get out of hand.
They did a horrible job last night for both sides. |

Get over your butt-hurt about JT wanting to play for a better franchise.
NYI had the lowest attendance in the NHL, NYR make more on popcorn sales a season than your pathetic team is worth. Go Pens. |

Yup, as fans it's entertaining to watch no doubt but it creates a very unsafe environment for the players... fortunate enough that Marleau didn't get seriously injured there |

The boys will be fine .. got out injury free for the most part. Just wasnt their night. Yeah Refs blew.
Leafs didn’t help themselves with decisions and like I said I didn’t see 1 stretch pass all night. Maybe there were I just don’t recall any.
Use the speed advantages they have and make quicker and smarter decisions with the puck in the D zone and they’ll be fine.
I’m sure after game 2, tomorrow will be called much tighter. Classic overreacting by the refs.

It's kind of (frank)ed up how there will be no middle ground reffing. I'm expecting 20-25 penalty minutes tomorrow on a lot of fringe infractions, and even though the Leafs special teams aren't as good as Boston's and we could probably lose because of it, I'd rather lose because of an inferior special teams game than a poopshow like yesterday. |

Just not enough good refs or linemen to go around anymore. All scared of being 2nd guessed for every call and or overturned by replay.... |

Krug and Kadri are both very unlikely for tommorow.
Debrusk and Cliffton both are probably hurt as well.
It’s bad for hockey. The refs have to do their job. |

One loss and it's all "leafs never had a chance. No toughness. Etc." When they win the series don't celebrate and tell me "you knew it all along".
Before the playoffs if anyone was asked here if theyd take a split in Boston they would have said yes. This is fine. - Aaron_85
The refs are going to get a talking to guaranteed and more penalties will be called in game 3. IMO, Leafs take it.
Sucks to lose Kadri, but we have Tavares and Willy has now played C. We are in a far better situation.
I also think we've answered the question who will be moved to make cap space if required. |

Yep. It's textbook. I'd think a very soft call to start the game too. |

Absolutely ... Best of 5 now and leafs have the home advantage. Mission accomplished so far. |

That was a masterpiece of officiating last night.
I'm not usually this guy, but I'm willing to bet Debrusk gets no supplemental discipline for trying to take Kadri's knee out. It really seemed like one team had a longer leash last night. Not just in the Leaf game either. The Capitals were given more freedom than the Hurricanes. |
