Was downtown last night for dinner. On the walk back to my car passed Barry Trotz on the sidewalk...didn’t say anything...feel like I missed an opportunity.

IMO we should be rolling 5 D with JJ getting the occasional shift. Lots of teams roll with this approach and it elevates a lot of their players

I kinda like the idea of 7 Dmen and double shifting Sid with Teddy and Cullen on the 4th as well. Only use JJ on PK...if they insist on having him in lineup.

Taking for granted that Johnson is in no matter what, I’m extremely in favor of 7D. Wilson’s a plug, so who cares, and Maatta can take most of the shifts with Schultz at even strength so that Schultz isn’t completely neutered by Johnson’s inability to break out of the defensive zone.

Imagine the hockey world if McDavid had to play with Simon.

Will be driving back home to Maryland from Columbus, OH. Will listen to the game on XM radio wearing my let's go Pens! shirt. Hoping for a turn around. They will need to be able to do much better puck management and win more puck battles for that to happen. Let's Go Pens!

So game 1 we dominated large stretches, had a few mistakes end up in the net so we overreact and make bad lineup decisions.

Game 2 we look like trash and got dominated, so let's just do the same thing. Makes sense.
