Simon on the top line tomorrow. 1 goal and 7 assists in his last 40 games. Stanley Cup here we come.

IMO roster or lines aren't the issue at this point. If the Pens don't change their gameplan it will be the same result with maybe stealing one game.

As far as the first bold goes you’re listening to Mike Rupp and think he knows how to take down Trotz’s system? Listening to mike rupp was your first mistake.

As far as the second bold goes people have been saying the same thing since December.
Just a little win streak they’ll come down to earth.
In January they were saying,
They won’t make the playoffs
In February it was,
Maybe a wild card bubble team.
In March,
They won’t get home ice Lehner and Greiss can’t keep playing like this.
Now in April,
Same old crapola.

Love it😂

Sure... We need a better game plan. Trotz is eating Sully's lunch. Personnel choices go hand in hand with the system however. Simon is a decent bottom 6 player. Swiss army type of player. The 1st line is getting caved and I don't see his attributes helping with the fix. I hope I'm wrong.

It's the same players playing on different lines trying to accomplish the same system. Yeah, Simon might add a different dynamic to Sid's line, but against a team that has a specific system that stifles what the Pens try to do? Those few little tweaks do nothing IMO.

When Letang was out the Pens played the type of system they should be playing now. The played similar to how the Islanders play.

You need to slow your roll there crappy! Your team hasn’t made it to the second round in what 20 years? Yes your up 2-0 but don’t count the pens out. To much playoff experience! I know playoff hockey is new to islander fans but you need to chill out!
- Bobd62

Who said I counted anyone out? Pens can come back and beat us I’m well aware they’re an incredible team. My post was simply stating how it’s funny that everyone has been counting us out the entire year. I know Suffolk is a little different Bob. Next time read slower may help with your comprehension.

Still looking for the “ON” switch. It’s here somewhere. What’s it take?
- Dr Blob

I’m expecting Martin vs Gudbranson to get the home crowd fired up. Geno will probably get pissed at some point and drop them. Hornqvist will do his little kid temper tantrum and face wash himself into the box.

I am going to listen to Mike Rupp over a blogger or a fan any day of the week. He has been there, done that and has the t-shirt.

The Isles will slow down, I can't see them going as hard as they are going for two months. As a matter of fact I can see them letting off the gas tomorrow. Lehner is playing his position well but on several occasions he was the most surprised person in the building when he a few saves. Crosby's backhand he was looking for the puck to his right when it hit him and then it just sat on his leg. Kessel's shot from the slot early in the game went straight to his glove and Lehner never moved. Good save yes, good position yes, but he had no idea he had it until the glove moved. There will be a time when those things go the other way. It just won't be against the Pens.

Yep may be tomorrow. Pens are due for a win of course. As far as the bold goes that’s kind of my point with my previous post. You haven’t really been watching the team which i wouldn’t be expecting you too but you’re speaking like you know what you’re talking about. They were absolute crap for the most part compiling a close to 500 post all star break they started playing well again the last five games leading up to the playoffs. Hey maybe you’re right they may implode, Lehner regress, team play the way they should, etc. BUT you’re one of the many, many, many people saying the same shat for the last three months. Either way should be a good series no way the pens let up now.

I’m not listening to a blogger either. Maybe Rupp should give Sullivan a call😂

Maybe I don't know what I am talking about. What I do know is that I was one of the few people here who did not want to see the Isles in the first round.

I’m somewhat there with ya. The way we’ve been playing the last couple weeks were obviously concerning. Very obvious that nothing was certain.

I should just go back to complaining about the Brassard trade. We would look so much better with a second pairing of Cole-Schultz and Coach Q behind the bench

I didn't care who we faced, I said I didn't take anyone lightly, but if this team had what it takes they'd beat anyone. All the teams in have their strengths and good goalies, all in the east are quite capable of beating each other 4 times out of 7.

They weren’t playing well for a while “regressed” as all teams do at some point the last month and a half or so from the all star break on. Can it happen again sure who knows? We can lose this series I know that. I’m in no way blowing smoke here the pens are an elite team with more playoff/cup experience then any current roster. My point was people have been saying since December exactly what you are. Hasn’t happened yet will it? Maybe, but all of those people that were so sure in December, January, February, and March have been proven wrong.

When looking at the rosters I’d say Torts has outcoached him 100 times over.

Ummm how? Hes 1 and 2... both losses I'd say the Caos had the better team. Last year, Holtby on freaking fire.

I have a confession to make: I opted to play hockey this afternoon over watching most of the game. Any time I've turned down playing hockey to watch a Pens game in the afternoon they've lost. Also, if they play like the disgrace they were in game 2 AND I dont play hockey I'm gonna be double disgusted. If I play and they win, then f'n great. Double win. If I play and they lose, then at least I played hockey this afternoon...

I will see all of the 1st, probably none of the rest...though I'm debating streaming it on my phone on the bench during changes...
