I just don’t know what to do to accomplish anything good. As much as I (frank)ing hate the Johnson Schultz pairing, Dumoulin is also having a bad series. Sucks for Gudbranson who’s been good but I definitely think Pettersson has earned ice time at Schultz’s expense and at least see if that can get Schultz going even though they’ve never played together. No chemistry is better than bad chemistry

I 100% agree. At this point I think JJ with 58 and putting 8 with 4 is a better option that Sully might entertain since he’s married to that third pairing. But I agree, I would rather see Petts with Schultz. I still wouldn’t be opposed to 73-58 and 8-44

I don’t fault JJ for not supporting ZAR there. He doesn’t want to F up. ZAR needs to flip that to himself

Egregious turnover. Should’ve been the dagger.

ZAR is pretty much a plug.....can we all agree on that? Occasional good game followed by 15 of nothing.

The answer to Johnson Schultz being an awful pairing isn’t to give Johnson even more ice time by saddling our best defenseman with him.

He and Rust need to switch spots. It’s not even a question that Rust is a million times better than him.

That’s been a huge killer. You know Johnson’s gonna be bad, but the letang dumo pairing needed to be their rock and it simply hasn’t

From where I’m sitting, JJ isn’t the one turning pucks over and putting his teammates in bad spots. I just want him to sit back and not pinch and cover up for Letang when he does. Maybe if we get Dumo away from Letang he’ll stop pinching so much

Nervous, timid, stupid hockey probably isn't often successful.

I’d rather have

Pettersson-Letang
Dumo-Schultz
JJ-Guddy

This has been some of the worst hockey I’ve ever seen Dumo play to be honest.

Curious as to how many teams have won a ship with 42 yr old rostered let alone been their best player?

A standup goalie would’ve done a T push and wouldn’t have gotten across in time. A butterfly goalie does a butterfly slide with an extra left skate shuffle (if needed) and likely gets their but leaves that top corner open. That’s exactly what happened except Murray didn’t react quick enough. Tons of credit to Eberle for getting the shot off so quickly. Lots of guys would’ve handled it more or would’ve just missed that corner
- WSCTeton17

I think Murray shrugs a blocker at it if he's on his feet, but then Eberle doesn't shoot there if he sees Murray standing up, he'd likely put something low in the the crease or try to squeeze it through the 5

Mike: agreed on ZAR, just not good enough. If we had Blueger in the lineup we could elevate him but.. nope. We can still flip him with Rust

You can’t just eliminate pinching though. We need active defensemen for this Penguin’s team to be successful. That’s where the communication and chemistry piece comes in, which is what I think is missing.

Waiting for that home ice advantage where we get 7 power plays. Or one.

That pass was in the air, went over his stick from my view.

But yeah, he looks like jack Johnson
