I don't think it was blatant head hunting and JJ did get interfered with, but he made no attempt to avoid the hit. Didn't even try to pull up and skated right through him. - madmike71
Jj was at full speed and the dude entered his path..jj didnt carve a path to him. Cmon this was easy to see live in real time too. |

How long has the NHL been making ice? 'Cause that's an embarrassment. |

JJ skates full speed at him and crushed him and the puck was no where in sight, but okay lol - j.boyd919
Come on, thats not what happened, JJ was skating to the bench and they collided, he did not change his path to hit the guy. If anything Boychuk deserved and interference for his accidentally on purpose clip of JJ. |

Well this last part would explain an otherwise super neanderthal-like play. It wasn't like Pelech just jumped in his way out of nowhere. There was a ton of time for Johnson to readjust his angle and he just didn't. - Victoro311
How does Pelech have less time to readjust than JJ? That makes no sense to me. JJ isn’t the one transitioning in any direction other than forward but Pelech is |

So many so quick to jump on the moral bandwagon to justify past issues with blindside hits. At least pick a real blindside hit to be pissed about. |

Because Pelech was actually in Johnson's site line. Obviously if he was looking somewhere else, then that explains it, but if Johnson is aware that his current trajectory is going to blind side a guy without the puck, that's bad. That's hockey 101 bad. |

If a guy is aware that his current trajectory is going to cause contact, that's not incidental... Do you know what incidental means? |

This team is generating zero offense. The Isles are taking the neutral zone away and the Pens have not figured out how to sustain any offense. In addition one team looks hungry. One does not. |

It looked intentional until I saw the front view. JJ takes the brunt of it in the face |

Sportsnet knows incidental contact. Called it as such. I agree. |

I honestly don't know how we're in the minority here. We must have a different feed or something. That looked like blatant head hunting to me. - Victoro311
Imagine if Sid or Letang got clipped like that. All these girls would be bītching up a storm. |

This feels a lot like that Boston series we got swept in years ago... they are forcing so many low chance shots from us. |

As far as the hit goes, I really didn't pay attention to where the puck was. I don't think it was a head hit, but it was a blind side for sure.
As far as the game goes? At least there's no lead to overcome. The Pens have time to wake the (frank) up. |

Because your argument that Pelech jumped into Johnson's skating line is (frank)ing dumb. If it's incidental, it's only incidental because Johnson wasn't looking, not because it was unavoidable contact. |
