I remember that series vividly. The Pens weren't very good. Sure Rask was great, but the Pens rarely got a shot off shorter than 15 feet and Rask got to see nearly every shot. Pens scored 2 goals in that series and got swept. Dan Bylsma didn't make a strategic adjustment until game 3.

And Sid has like 1 point

Not only do I remember the Pens storming the Bruins some games I also remember playing hockey with buddies who were die hard bruins fans and a few times they'd be saying they couldn't believe the Pens didn't win or couldn't score. Both teams played good, the Pens coudnt score enough. Vokun played pretty good except getting hauled in one game and Fleury played the 3rd. Vokun didn't get any goal support.

It was over fast..and a long time ago...forget minor details like this. If I'm wrong I'm wrong. Musta wanted to forget that series for a reason.

If tampa get 4-0d by CBJ it got to be THE most embarassing Playoff run of any team EVER in the history of not just nhl but hocky as a whole considering what they achieved in the regular season.

Certainly feels that way. Sid has been much better but it’s been offset by the other lines not being as good

I remember sid taking the jaw mask off and promptly getting suckered in the jaw by the original great ape. Sid did nothing after that...

Haha. Sad, like I said though. The only time I can remember Sid’s line just not getting it done. Still lotsa hockey left but it’s gut check time.

Last year when Sid Jake and Horny we’re cruising Sully switches it up. That 1st line is struggling and he’s just sticking to it.

McCain would have been my choice to replace Rust... but he took that disgustingly cheap shot and is hurt now.

They tried to match the Bruins physicality in that series and it played perfectly into Bostons's hands. The Pens got away from what they were doing the whole season.

Didn't Craig Adams hit the post in Game 3 in OT?

They were a bit parimeter at times, I'll give you that, but they had a F load of chances and couldn't score.. Then their composure, or lack thereof, was a disgrace.

I'll definitely agree with the lack of composure, for 2 guys like 58 & 71 with all this playoff experience, they just completely lose their mind sometimes

I'll never forget this.... Dan Bylsma never let Iggy get a shift with Crosby. Not even on the 1st PP. Imagine that... First ballot HOF'r with his wicked bomb and he was sitting on the bench when the 1st unit took the ice. Disco soiled himself in that series.
